check this out lol

Mayweather received a record guaranteed purse of $41.5 million purse for the fight, and as co-promoter with Golden Boy, he will also reap the spoils of the PPV haul. Mayweather is set to earn more than $80 million from the fight based on the current PPV estimates, and his final take could approach $100 million if the ultimate PPV tally exceeds 2.5 million buys. The one night payday tops the previous record in boxing of $52 million that De La Hoya received for the 2007 Mayweather fight.

Shit anyone training to be a MMA fighter is just plain stupid in the head ... if your going to fight least go where the money is

Floyd Mayweather can not tie or beat Rocky Marciano's record. Only a heavyweight can do that. When you are the heavyweight champ your 49-0 means nobody could beat you. No boxer in any division could beat you during your time.

Mayweather's 49-0 just means nobody his weight or less could beat him during his time. However, any heavyweight or light heavyweight could beat him if he would have fought them.

No other weight division can beat Marciano's 49-0 at heavyweight.

Please stop the beating or tying Rocky Marciano's record talk about Floyd.

So some of you think Rhonda Rousey has a better chin then PacMan? You must if you think she can beat Floyd. Floyd would easily knock RR out in first round. She would have no answer for the shots Manny took in round 1. She isn't taking him down either. One body shot would incapacitate her. One head punch and she would be canvas napping.

Remember, in boxing, only the top guys get paid. For every guy making millions, there are a hundred getting their heads beat in for peanuts.

You and your pops think Sugar Ray Robinson could beat Floyd Mayweather.. We are talking about his bubble aren't we?

This is the wording of Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record.

Marciano is the only person, yet, to hold the heavyweight title without a bout tie or defeat during his entire career.

Can you understand that?

That is why nobody ever talked about Joe Calzaghe at 46-0 could possibly beat Marciano's record. Nobody talked about Valero being able to either. I do believe they were the only other undefeated champions at any weight.

So actually Mayweather already did move into second place in the undefeated champions list.

He could end up with the most wins as an undefeated champion but there is someone that ended up 72-0-1. They were tied once but never defeated.

But there is only one fighter who can claim this record.

The only person to hold the heavyweight title without a bout tie or defeat during his entire career.

Interesting sidebar ... Gene Tunney was undefeated at heavyweight and was champion but he had one defeat at light heavyweight and didn't have as many wins.

Willy Pep was a champion and was 62-0 as a champion before he suffered a defeat.

Now go wake your pops from his nap and tell him it is 2015 and Sugar Ray Robinson couldn't lay a glove on Mayweather.

I also wasn't even alive when Marciano was boxing. He isn't
'my generation".

How old is your pops? 90?

IMO mayweather is in his time right now like tyson said presently unbeatable, but with age 40 coming around the corner... with age speed and strength suffers, floyd will probably have another win but his win streak is coming to a end faster then many think ,, and he knows it ... and when it does ...
i would place bets he hangs up his gloves for good

How about talking sports and quit being antagonistic SPG.

You said he was the greatest of all time. Their weight classes overlapped. So they theoretically could have fought and if they did Floyd would beat him.

Your pops is 38? That makes you a teenager then. Is it still sorted.

You thought I was some ancient defender of Rock Marciano and I am not. All the while being real proud your pops was an ancient defender of Sugar Ray Robinson. LOL! Pot meet kettle.

I was just pointing out that Marciano's record is safe for now. I don't know why you found that objectionable.

^ALI !? (Just had " The Pops" on the phone..) Says The Real,REAL Boxing Fans will Know Sugar ray robinson Was the Best (or Greatest) Ever ..He could do everything ...

So when you said this you meant he was the greatest of all time but couldn't beat Mayweather?
