The shoot down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH 17 came into greater focus with the December 15 YouTube video featuring a former crew member of BUK self-propelled fire installation, number 312 (BUK 312). Ukraine’s government and others maintained that the BUK 312 unit shot down MH17 while manned by a resistance crew. The Obama administration championed that narrative holding both the resistance and Russia responsible for the 298 deaths on July 17. The interview was conducted by investigative journalist Anatoly Sharij and translated by Marina Stewart (see full test in English at end of this article). This story suggests that the Ukrainian pilot, Captain Voloshin, shot down MH17 via mis-identification with a real target. So, with the eastern Ukrainians lacking any real air force, what target was Captain Voloshin searching for that would look like a Boeing passenger jet?
As it happens, Russian President Vladimir Putin was flying through the same area on that very day, returning home from a six day visit to Cuba and South America. Putin's Presidential jet, not as grand as Air Force One, is based on the Ilyushin 96. The IL-96 is a passenger jet, and is painted with a similar color scheme to the Malaysian 777. The Russian investigators earlier questioned a Ukrainian witness who claimed that he had seen a Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 combat jet taking off from an airbase in eastern Dnipropetrovsk carrying air-to-air missiles and returning without them on the day of the MH17 crash. The witness identified the SU-25 pilot as Capt. Vladislav Voloshin.
“It is easy to find out whether Voloshin flew a combat mission on July 17,” spokesman Vladimir Markin said.
“Let Kiev show the so-called combat mission log to Dutch investigators, or better yet, let Voloshin take a lie-detector test with Dutch or Malaysian experts,” Markin added.
In an even bolder move, it is now revealed, Israel will withdraw its settlers from communities beyond the settlement blocs—and relocate them at least temporarily to Ukraine. Ukraine made this arrangement on the basis of historic ties and in exchange for desperately needed military assistance against Russia. This surprising turn of events had an even more surprising origin: genetics, a field in which Israeli scholars have long excelled.
