Figured out a way to use what I already have for my coco grows instead of spending more money and having more old crap lying around
It's still a manual method but it's not hard to do and it's easy to collect and test the run-off with a hand suction pump
The pots only reach about 2/3 of the way down the buckets to the height I cut a hole-saw hole
I'm not sure if this is an existing method or I invented it (I'm usually the last to know :p ) but it seems to work well with these KA5H's :)

That does look done to me as well. Maybe you can take a small sample and see how it is??
I have 4 more growing and it's ripening daily so I might chop this one over the weekend and let the others go longer. The Mrs is not known for her patience either :p
Probably don't want to get to the amber trichome stage either with this one. They look quite white when not through the camera lens

Was going to bin these KA5H clones and grow something else like a nice C99 but couldn't bring myself to do it

Will be doing another run of 7 of the Malawi x PCK which I just topped. Don't know if the pegs help them heal :p
Freshly potted KA5H at the front in coco.

KA5H in DWC is starting to look more ripe but could be a way off...

There are 3 more KA5Hs also in coco
Had to bend the tops on one. I supported the branches with wires for a few days while they mended at the desired angle. Once they set they are good as new :)

The MxPCK is getting closer too. Smells nice. Forest berries :)

Three different phenos all showing some color. Will be interesting to taste/test them and see if one stands out. Each has a bud or two pollenated and maybe I will keep a mother going. Who knows?

@bugman52 yeah, I'm fairly excited about them. Should be pretty decent
Got 3.4oz off the one KA5H plant. Might give the other one a bit more time now there is one in the jar
I'll have to hide it from the Mrs to cure a little, but it's OK, we got over a lb from the 4 golfballs :)

I didn't want to hog the Malawi x PCK thread so I thought it better to post in here :)
How much longer do you guys reckon?
It's been 8 weeks so far on the 12/12 cycle and I see some amber trichomes on a few leaves growing from the buds but not on the buds themselves
They've been on a diet of 0-12-11 for the last couple of weeks, in old soil mix, bottle nutes

The Malawi x PCK looks about ready to me. Might chop it on the weekend, we'll see...
There's quite a bit of amber on the leaves coming out of the buds and they're all cloudy. Doesn't seem to be packing much more on

Popped 6 x C99 regular seeds tonight
I'm trying a slightly different method than usual.
Dropped the seeds into the grow plugs in a bowl and floating them in water in a closed ice box with an aquarium heater set to 25°c
I'm hoping to get a decent germ rate :)

The reg C99 seeds from TRSC have all sprouted and look to be doing fine

Time to chop the next KA5H. It smells of pine and burnt rubber

I've been having trouble with my sativas getting the leaves to stay green but the last one I put in is doing well. It started life in some old dirt mix in a 2L pot then got upgraded to a 12L pot with coco and perlite with bottle nutes. It seems to like it

The whole large area is KA5Hs of various age and health and there's more in the nursery along with some more Malawi x PCK

Well, I just re-potted the whole room organic! Bit of a mission. Potted the 3x KA5H from 15L pots to 30L and potted all the other smaller plants from 2L to 6L
All plants went into a 50/50 mix of the organic potting mix and peat moss with 100ml D-Lime added for every 12L mix and watered with rain water with EM1 microbes added.
The organic potting mix really smells like shit so it must be good stuff :)
None of my coco grows seem to like the bottle nutes unless soil was added to give some extra goodness. Maybe it's the nutes... They're all starting to pale out. Maybe they're root bound? The pots were chock full of roots

The Killer A5 Haze has fantastic buds this round so I hope it comes back in line

The other 2 KA5H aren't doing so well so I'm hoping they also make a full recovery in the bigger pots and new food
20220917_153233.jpg

More small KA5Hs and some tall pheno Malawi x PCKs which are also getting some TLC
20220917_181718.jpg

2 each MxPCKs of the shorter purple and the short brown phenos that got potted a week ago into a home made mix seem to be recovering
20220917_181811.jpg

Lastly some C99 regulars from TRSC I'm looking forward to growing out and a lone MxPCK I'm gifting to a friend

For anyone from New Zealand, this is the potting mix I found that looks and smells the goods. If the label is true it will be fantastic :)

That is hysterical! Good luck with the organic mix. Not sure on the yellowing. Do you check PH?
Thanks blondie. It can't uptake the N for some reason. Might be the nutes or the pot size or a combination but if I up the dose it turns the tips brown. I have tried different mediums with the same nutes and flushing and same story. Re-potting seems to help. pH has been around 6
I would like to get familiar with organic growing anyway as all the good growers use it and it looks intriguing :)
I will use up the rest of the bottle nutes on indica grows, only 20L left :p
The larger KA5H doesn't have root lockout because the buds are still growing very well and it drinks like a fish!
