I'd go out on a limb and say this won't be the last time they pay me a visit.

As somebody that has done this for a while, Green Harvest is simply the cost of doing business. Except a decade ago, if this happened I would be looking at charges. Big deal....they took some plants. I still have my genetics. Saved every last one of Rodney's kids. The gulch is barely scratched. We will pull some from the cane. It's all good.

LSY....The regrow is the only plant I had a taste of. I could have saved the big Thai plant. I would have gotten maybe 3 lbs off of her. The regrow will give me half of that. I don't regret keeping the sure thing. Not a bit.

A few years back, I was up near your neck of the woods, at the cinder pit south of Kula, digging lava cinders for my gardens. Both GH choppers were flying the area just north of the lava flow, and when they spotted me, one came in close for a look see. I just waived hello, and stood there, him looking at me and me looking at him. He finally got bored and took off.

Good on ya that you kept your cool and stood your ground, and I hope you don't have any delayed consequences resulting from this close encounter.

also guessing you probably arent using the right nutrients....

lol this totally brings me back to when i was a kid grows.. you shouldve top'd and lst'd those badboys and you wouldve gotten so much more and quality out of it. also u need to use ur stakes and put up grow netting horizontally and let it grow like it was tons of plants in a sea of green method. that way you at least get more sunlight on every cola instead of just the top ones while the bottom ones gather PM.

u prob should ditch some of those fans too cuz that will help ur future mold issues.

btw ur not growing and kush in any of those plants as an FYI

Feel the Rain, Sweet Sweet Rain

An early season low is dropping into the gulf of Alaska. It pushed the high that generates our trades close to the island, thus cutting them off. Behind that low is another.

What does it mean? For me it means five days of cloudy weather, with afternoon rain. It also means wet weed all night, a quick dry in the AM and repeat. The only two plants that are big enough to mold (LSY's regrow, and the refugee Thai) don't worry me. The Thai is the most rot resistant strain I have, and the regrow...see if that works next week.

This begins the first rippers moon. Enough moonlight to sneak in and rip. The heeler is tied up in the gulch, and I think it's too early for the rips. I don't see them tipping their hand this soon. So I have three weeks to get ready for them. I don't see how the choppers didn't attract the wrong kind of attention. Betcha somebody will try for 'em this season.

Now comes the fun part. First thing to do is get wifey the hell out of here. Hope she likes her seven week with mom. Wrote a very large check to my partner. Bail money....hope it isn't needed, but if it is...its there. I have a hotwire around the fence....to keep the cattle out and the dogs in. Always leave it off. Rigged it up so I can put household curret running thru it, with a flick of a switch. With GFI. If anybody comes in, they better cut it....I'm trying to make this into a roach motel. Getting in...easy. Getting out...not gonna happen. But I don't want to fry anyone.

No trimmers this year. Only yours truely. The Rodneys won't yield like the Thai. Different structure. Should be easier to trim. The cane take will be trimmed elsewhere. Still have the feelin that the cane will work better than the house.

If I was a rip, I'd wait until everything is in and hit the front door. Have plans for that too. Give them a buck sixty in dimes. More if necessary.

On the way back from dropping wifey at airport I grab two new dogs. If she knew she would shit. Many of mine are getting older....new blood is good. Also anybody that knows my dogs will be in for a surprise. These dogs don't know you.

I have three weeks left before the fun starts and I become a hermit. Stiil must build my hides and tells. maybe a few more tricks too. I have a few dirty ones up my sleve....and plenty of time to do them right.

I thought all my neighbors that grow would be pissed at me for bringing the choppers, but they used the time to hide theirs, and they came thru clean. So advance warning comming up the road is still covered.

I hope this is all unnecessary. This is all fun and games...until you put somebody's eye out.

Life goes on.

A week has passed since the visit from Green Harvest. Enough time for the adrenelin and anger to subside. Got the patients together and compared notes. We came to a few conclusions that may help others....a preview, if you will, on how exactly they opperate.

At the same time they were bothering me, choppers visited both, and in one case landed at my patients home down in Kihei. They were checking that we did not have plants growing in two places. They didn't, but if they did I suppose they would have taxed me harder. Or worse...so they will check anyone that you are caregiver for. If they are bothering you, call your patients and tell them to expect a visit shortly.

The other mistake that was made is the cops will ask how much you smoke. Go high....you smoke pounds. Wifey told the cops she only smokes very little....after I told them she smokes like a factory smokestack. Mistake. She baisicly told the cops her "adequite supply"
was very small. That's why they left only one plant behind for her.

As I said earlier, doubles count as one. One person talks. Get your stories straight before the event. They will ask how much you smoke. Wrong answer...you lose plants. They also will comment on how much more you have than one oz. End that line of questioning by explaining you have plans to concentrate the plant. Your patients will be checked. Let them know what will soon happen.

Got it? Hope you never have to go thru this, but now you know what will happen. If you know, you can prepare.

Here at the house we are in hurry up and wait mode. All quiet. Have a gulchfull of young buds taking their own sweet time.

The weather was, and is, as expected, when the trades go away. AM sun, PM clouds and rain two of the last three days. We should go back to more normal weather next week. Still have a chance for a good year...but I'm going to need the weather to cooperate.

Had a couple of seeds scattered thru two plants. Went on a half day male search, found nothing. Asked neighbors, "come check, no males here". Only place they could have come from was off of the GH guys. Seed size and placement adds up. Still another PITA. Sure hope I'm right.

We're at the point where the girls are just starting to show me their "personalities". I so enjoy this time of year. Watching everything come together....it's a beautiful thing.

Day four of five....Fuckin rain. Cloudy days, with just enough rain to wet everything down. Not enough to do any good. The girls are going nowhere fast...with no end in sight.

Stem rot set in to three of the four Jack girls. Lost the tops of two of the three. One of then is salvalagable, but the tops on the other two, I chopped. Both are just starting to bud, we still have a long way to go.

What a difference 5 miles make. If you're following this a way back I posted some pics of my partner using his excavator, to do the "garden in an hour" post.

Where my partner lives its ALWAYS SUNNY!!! It never rains. He can slam six in the ground, straight dirt, no ferts, maybe a spray for WPM, and they look like this....We smoke the best first....these won't last long.

There is no god. These are Japaneese Hash plants. I had one ....

But Green Harvest took it....good thing too....fucker would be mold city here. Buds like rocks.

Rodneys kids are a bright spot. Took most of one before GH, the other four are shrugging off the humidity....I wonder why?

The elephant ear comes out of the jungle. Its idiotproof. Plant and forget. Have yet to spray it for WPM. Same with LSY's regrow

And the final f1 saved rodney seeds are sprouted and in the dirt. So Part Four technicaly begins. OH well....Kick that can down the road.
