just like playing music... guitar for example.
anyone can learn 3 chords (G, C, & D) and play some songs sounding somewhat musical.
a majority can take those 3 chords, play them in time and make it sound okay.
but very few people can take those same 3 chords and make new & wonderful music we've never heard before

mastering guitar requires much dedication practice & experience... just like mastering growing.

it can be. sure.

just like guitar playing can be all about musical science = technique.

steve vai is all about technique. i think his music sucks. its technically/scientifically spot on. but it comes out musically lacking...

jimmy page is an artist. you can hear how sloppy his playing is on many classic led zepplin tracks (and especially live). but its overflowing with music...

id rather smoke jimmy page's pot than steve vai's is what im saying...

maybe i prefer the artful approach over the scientific one...
