congratulations on winning!

More than 10 million dollars after taxes?!?!

I'd never grow again... I'd move to where ever I wanted to be, find the guy who has the very best weed,
and fly him in to my place every month with my stash...

seeing a few posts here that this is a bogus claim, no matching prize amounts in the indiana lotterys
that and it wouldn't be all that bright to post identify info for someone growing in indiana
want to find a worse state than florida for cannabis? indiana is a good start

I have a hard time feeling sorry for millionaires but it seems the story is false anyway.i feel more sorry for the guy if he has the compulsion to lie.

I admit scratch tickets are one of my bad habits. Spend maybe $10-15 a week.

no exaggeration in this story at all.......

I knew a gal up here in MN whose husband was killed while he was in jail, her kids were entitled to survivor's benefits in the amount of $927 per month X's 3, she received just shy of $2800 per month, plus she had a job @ a state run nursing home, $15 per hour plus full benefits, her monthly income was $5200 not including the value of those benefits.

Sure taxes were withheld from the income of her job but they couldn't assess any taxes against the survivor's benefits, she cleared appx $4600 each and every month.

Sue never owned a car worth a shit and her home was kept in a constant state of disrepair, and it was filthy inside, fleas and cat piss. :puke:

The passenger side floor of her car was piled so high with scratch off tickets that they'd spill out her door when it was opened, and if you wanted to find Sue you'd only need to go to the local casino to find her chuffin' on cigarettes and throwing every buck she had into the slot machines.

When she finally died of cancer (ovarian, not lung btw) she had her home mortgaged to the hilt leaving her then adult kids absolutely nothing but the bills, they kept the home for awhile but now it sits abandoned full of black mold and fleas, courtesy of the 5 or 6 cats she loved so much. :dunno:

so, $10-15 per week??? not too bad imo. :tiphat:

I used ti play the hell outta scratch tickets working on the road. I quickly realized its a total waste of money. Ive never won anything significant.. Not even a free ticket lol.. Nothing worse than buying 10 or so $20 tickets and not winning a single $1. Fuck the lottery, Ill invest my $ elsewhere..

FROM NC LOTTERY:
RALEIGH – Dale Summey, a roofer and handyman from Lexington, and his wife, Robin, became the biggest scratch-off winners ever in state lottery history as they claimed the top prize in the new Ultimate Millions game of $10 million.
The win also ranks as the 7th largest overall prize won by a North Carolinian in the lottery, coming just behind a $12 million Mega Millions jackpot win. The Ultimate Millions game began this month with four top prizes of $10 million. Now three more remain to be won.
“It feels wonderful,” Summey said of his win, “but it is still hard to believe. It is. It’s wonderful, and it’s a blessing.”
Summey and his wife said they enjoyed buying a lottery ticket, sitting on their picnic table outside their home, and talking about the things they would do if they ever hit it big. “Buy a car, buy a truck, a tractor for my son,” said Summey as he recounted their list when he claimed his prize at lottery headquarters. “And we would talk about a place at the lake, taking a good trip, and taking care of mother.”
Now the couple will get a chance to decide what part of that list they really want to do. Players who win the $10 million top prize can choose to take the prize as an annuity, receiving $500,000 a year for 20 years, or as a lump sum of $6 million. Summey and his wife chose the lump sum of $6 million and after state and federal taxes were withheld they received $4.1 million.
“Our new Ultimate Millions game should ultimately produce 25 new millionaires in our state,” said Alice Garland, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Our goal is to have fun games, award prizes and raise money for education. We appreciate the players who try their luck and our retail partners who sell the tickets. Together we get to see amazing things like this happen.”
Summey, who usually waits awhile to play his ticket, had the lucky ticket for four days before he knew how valuable it was. First he drove around town with the $10 million ticket stuck in his truck visor and then for a day or two he hid it under a “Heart Beat of America” floor map on his1999 GMC truck. He was sitting at the picnic table when he scratched the ticket, told his son the news, and then went to tell his wife the news.
“I’ve done it,’” he said he told Robin. “Done what?” she asked. “I’ve won $10 million,” he answered, and showed her the ticket.

After taxes and fees and bullshit? low 8 figures. I just found out total two hours ago.

Wow that's a pretty sweet jackpot for a $20 scratch-off. Were I'm at for a scratch-off costing that much you would probably end up with mid-high 6 figures after taxes
