Minimum sentences vary from state to state. 15 is the minimum in some states but not here, so those extra 5 years seemed like too much for a minimum sentence to me. If the state he is in that's the minimum, then it makes a little bit more sense. I thought the min. sentence was 10 years.

I would rather get harrassed on a occasion than be in danger because of the general public. Life is not free, life is not safe, life is not perfect, criminals do (should) not have rights (only the convicted ones). We live in a imperfect world and its the criminals fault. I fucking hate the police so I feel weird sticking up for them but I am scared to go to certian areas of my city with the police acting the way they do now, I can only imagine what life would be like if these criminals (every color) had it easier.

I say this because I KNOW people who are really innocent, doing time just for not snitching on the guilty with no idea of the crime the guilty party even committed, they did nothing. No money to fight the case & police doing what they want is why this person is sitting in jail. Serving someone else's lengthy sentence because he fit the racial profiling description & no money to lawyer up. The police had NOTHING to arrest him on but false trumped up charges & a race card. He had to wait like 2 almost 3 years just for his trial to begin!

My point is I had just as shitty of a life as the average black person in detroit. I do not act like a fucking animal. I am responsible for my own actions. Thats life in detroit. Whites don't trust blacks, blacks don't trust whites. You can try to change things or you can reconize life is what it is. I want to grow old so no risks for me. Detroit is the most segragated area in the country. Detroit almost all black. livonia (suburb) almost all white Dearborn (suburb) almost all arabic.
