Hazeseeker's 2009 Grow-Show

First off i wanna say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all on IC,
this will be a continuing grow diary throughout 2009 ( i know, i know i'm starting 12 days too early ),
hopefully there will be many strains, and plenty of bud porn to keep the thread alive and kicking ,
i'll start off the diary with my 2 Uk Cheese's i currently have in veg,
i've lost track how long they've been vegging for, it's atleast 2 months i reckon,
both were transplanted into 30/35 litre pots each 9 days ago,
these are the biggest containers i've grown in so far, usually flower in 11 litres at most,
the plan is to veg for at least another few weeks to give the roots a chance to really fill the containers.

still got them in veg at the minute, 1 of the clones has a stalk thicker than a lighter, steroid stalk through n through

i think the make up of this 1 is G13 x '98 Jack Herer x Sour Diesel,
seedling just pushed through the soil a couple of hours ago,
got a feeling this is gonna be a great cross, respect to the brother that donated these, you know who you are

Happy New Year all

NL#5xHaze (day 60 of flower)
grown from clone, the seedplant from this pheno has already been grown + harvested, still not smoked those yet, just finished drying today,
seedplant took 87 days to finish, looks like the clone is gonna be at least a couple of weeks quicker, looks almost ready, maybe 1-2 weeks more,
smells like morroccan hash and a tad sweetness added in the mix,
rock solid, golf ball shaped nugs, but not a big fan of the aroma of this pheno, the other 2 smelled better, hopefully it smokes ok

Psycho's Sister (Psychosis x Biddy's Sister)
a cross between the Psychosis clone and Biddy's Sister from Magus Genetics,
really looking forward to seeing how this 1 turns out, never smoked Psychosis before, but i've smoked Biddy's Sister last year, the Hash from Biddy's Sister turned out bright gold

wow on the 35 ltrs ,but ive always wanted to do it myself,the soil im using is ultra light ,so theres no weight issues either
great selection for the new year mate
thoose cheese will be bad ass when there done ,they love the root space


watch the jackie psd's close ,theres sour dieselhairy balls to be found on a few phenos ive been told

Hollaachu, usually i only grow 1 strain at a time, maybe 2 at most so it's great to finally have a good variety of flavours on the go, really excited about these crosses

Hgl, no worries bro, i'll get some more pics of the NL#5xHaze up real soon, when i grew the seedplant of this pheno i used a mixture of chemical + organic nutes (usually just use organics but wanted to try chem nutes out of curiosity), on this 1 i just used organics and there's alot more resin this time, gonna stick to using organic Bio Bizz from now onwards

M@rg, you should def try the bigger pots sometime man, what brand of compost do you use?, it's a nightmare trying to get both out the grow room tho to get their pics taken,
was actually thinking of buying a skateboard to put them on for getting them back + forth easier than draging the pots
I'm really looking forward to this Jackie PSD bro, G13xJack Herer '98xSour Diesel sounds like an amazing combination , i'll definately be keeping cuttings as i go along, looking for the winners, thanks for the heads up about the possible male balls showing from the diesel side, i'll keep a close eye on them later down the line,
some good news on the '98 Jack Herer as well, after 12/13 days i was starting to give up hope on any popping then got a great surprise last night when i checked, 1 of them has pushed the tap root through ,
planted it into some compost last night, fingers crossed it pushes through to the surface

well after 3+ months of veg i finally decided to put the 2 girls into the flowering stage, plants have been in the 35 litre pots for around 4 weeks now, hopefully that should be enough time to get a killer root system on the go ,

Radvancan, cheers man, i'm excited about the 2xUk Cheese as it's the longest i've vegged the Uk Cheese so far (and in the biggest pots i've ever used), i just about lost 1 of them at the weekend tho due to under-watering, i hadn't been paying much attention to them and was just about to turn the lights out as normal on saturday, had a quick look and almost every leaf had drooped downwards, you should of seen how quick i watered that plant, practically running around the house in a panic lol, thankfully it's fine, as soon as i watered i actually seen the leaves straighten back up in front of me, all leaves were back to normal the following day

BeAn, i'm missing smoking the Cheese already man, and it's only been a couple of weeks since i finished the last lot, can't wait to get it in the jars again, hopefully the spider mites stay away this run, just gave them a really heavy spray of SMC on day 2 of flower as i spotted a couple of the critters, hopefully that 1 spray has got them all, it's incredible how they'll leave every other plant/strain in the garden alone and go straight for the Cheese like a magnet

Old Soul, still not smoked that pheno of NL#5xHaze in the pic, out of the 3 pheno's that 1 smelled the worst, like a bland morroccan hash, the clone looks alot better than the seedplant did tho as i was experimenting with chem nutes on the seedplant, used the usual organic Bio Bizz on the clone (gonna stick to using the Bio Bizz from now onwards)

this was the only seed to sprout out of approx 17 seeds, hopefully it survives but it's looking doubtful as it doesn't seem to have any middle growth on the seedling so far that i can see?

DonChron, yeah man i'd be so happy if i got a nice yeild from these 2,
the last time i grew the Uk Cheese i only vegged for a couple of weeks
and ended up with around 3 quarters of an Oz, hopefully i get alot more
than that as i really enjoy smoking these buds, the flavour + smell is special,
i'll get some pics of the NL#5xHaze clone up in the next couple of days,
due to harvest that clone in a few days

Rick, what sort of cam do you use man?, my Digital SLR cost me a fortune,
but to be honest with you bro i wish i never bought it,
as it's gonna take another grand to get all the lens + light etc, wish i just bought a Fuji Finepix for around 100
as they're just normal point n shoots, take amazing pics and macros tho,
thinking about buying 1 and just keep the SLR till later until i can afford a better lens,
so i'm back to using my Kodak point n shoot till i get another cam,
yep i feel blessed to get the chance to grow the Uk's finest - Jackie PSD,
Psycho's Sister, SSH F2 + the Jack Herer 1998 F2,
repping the Uk big style man, can't wait to see how they turn out,

Uk Cheese Day 13 of flower
since the last update i trimmed alot of the lower growth off as the clones are so big,
and canopy is so dense they would of just resulted in little popcorn buds down there,
gave both clones their first feed on the last watering of 0.9ml/l Grow + 0.9ml/l Bloom

since the last update i transplanted into a 6 inch container of Bio Bizz All-Mix, still in veg at the minute as well, being kept under a 400w HPS for 12 hours then once it's time for the light to go out (Nev's Haze in flower) i move it and the other plants that are also in veg to the 20w flouro's for 8 hours (20 hours total veg time per day), then move back under the 400w once the light comes back on for the Nev's the next day, it's a bit of a pain in the *%£$ having to do it this way moving them about all the time but it's worth the effort

also transplanted into a 6 inch container since the last update, grown in a different compost from the Jackie PSD, trying out the local garden centre's own brand stuff
