Hey guys, Updatetime !!!

Part 1

First nettles are sprouting
biggrin.gif

picture.php

Well, well, looks like you are thinking about coming up with quite a show.

I won´t promise anything, but we will see what it gets like
wink.gif

Nice to have you in the show mate!

First some music:

Groundation - Weeping Pirates
[youtubeif]QXRPBbijaFE[/youtubeif]

Oookay, a small Update...
what we gonna report today?

The soil on Spot1 is gettin more nice and nice it
has a very thick humus-layer. After adding some
indoor soil every season when planting, the soil is
very loose and airy now. Perfect for diggin over
the whole "field".
So it was quite easy, some roots and stones on
the old edges of the field, cause i extended it a
little bit, but no problem with that.

Here you can see two pics of the soil that was
already on this spot:

Part 2

Before diggin over eveything i scattered some lime, (grand)stone-powder,
guano and a little old rotten horse-manure over the field.

The prepared and yet stored big bunch of indoor-soil
was prepared the same way, with a little more guano-powder.

After that i put away the layer of humus-soil and dug the holes into the ground...

picture.php

By the way... on this point i have to say how hard
it is to shoot photos during the peparations of an
outdoor grow. your hands and everthing are sooo dirty,
mud everywhere, and you have to grab the camera in between and don´t wanna destroy it
laughing.gif

disillusional work for real to clean the hands everytime...anyways.

After the holes were made i "builded" some kind of
"pillar" of indoor-soil from the middle of each hole
(using a 10l pot without a bottom; quite like the
children are playing with sand-forms) and edged/filled
out the rest of the whole with the good humus layer-soil
from the spot.
The indoor-soil, from what the pillars were made of,
was enriched and mixed up with some of the humus as
well in order to inoculate it with the good crumbly local microorganisms.

...as i mentioned before; it is quite like children playing in the mud, and after it it looks "like that"
biggrin.gif

picture.php

picture.php

hahahahaha, no just a joke; you know a short break
in between work is always welcome... and the (w)hole
action must bring some fun, so a good relaxation in
between is essential!

Part 3

So i applied a minimum of 40 liters
indoor-soil per planting-hole, one of them
has about 80 liters!!!
Because the spot is situated on a slope and i
wanted a even soil surface i layered some good
soil on the lower side of the whole to get a small
wall that holds the water as well...

This wall was layered also with some clay-soil in
order to prevent sun evaporation and to isolate the
ground against too big heat exposure and for holding
the warmth in evenings/nights.

But before i am talking more and more about everything,
i wanna show you some pics of the ready-for-planting-in holes:

This is the "first hole" on the field i finished:

picture.php

...this pic is from the whole planting-row.
six holes in row with the little filled nettle-pond
:

picture.php

Yeah, what else to say...???
chin.gif

Ah yes, i scattered some mineral long-time fertilizers all around the surrounding area of my spot to help the vegetation having a good grow and keep hiding my place...

Additionally the nettle-pond was dug a little bit deeper, what wasn´t nice cause there was still some water inside i wanted to keep; but that was done successfully too and the first nettles are in there:

picture.php

Okay, so far...:dance013:

...the next days i will dig some more holes and will search for some new spots as well. perhaps i have my cam with me and i can shoot some nice pictures from these regions for you.

Have a nice day!

regards

...ah, guys as well some more photos for you from the past outdoor-seasons,
just to get you in summer-mood...

This picture was shot some years ago on Spot1, the spot from which i
will mainly report this year (you just saw the pictures above); the plants
you can see on the photo were standing next to the "big sativa" (my
biggest outdoor plant so far; aprox. 3,25m), but as you can see, in this
years season it was much more "crowded" on this spot, than planned
for this years season:

picture.php

The second photo shows again the "big sativa"; i have quite a lot of
pictures of her of course, she was the biggest but as well the most
beautiful and overall impressive plant i were allowed to grow!!!

...this time a picture of it from a different angle, too bad that it was shot with a
cheap camera...

picture.php

deadhorse.gif

I hope to get some seeds from this genetic for this season as well.
a friend grows them for many years; hope to get connected to him in order to ask for some :D

looking great man!
Thanks a lot mate! some more nice pics from previous outdoor-runs are coming soon :)

Love it! Best of look with your outdoor season!! Subscribed aswell
Thanks bro! nice to have you around here :D
btw: and nice avatar too ;)

Im in. Big strong plants. Lot of sun there !!
Welcome in! The sun is "okay" here... could be more of course.
when there is a good summer, there is quite enough sun in mid-summer at least. but the autumn is always the issue; sometimes it gets rather wet too early, then you have to emercengy-harvest your crop otherwise it will be rotten in only a few days...

But going along with the global warming this issue should get more unappealing. :D

thanks for your nice words

Nice, Love that busy spring period.:peacock: Are you gonna pregrow them? I moving them out just after they show heads and all survive at this temperatures. Yesterday i move out 3 plants- 1,5 month old and one of them died immediately in less than 24h - all dry and yellow, another 2 curled down they leaves and looks like dying. Sun overdose I think because it was clean sky all day long :) I wanted to try, never killed plant by sun:laughing:! But few 1-month old girls in 1 week flower survive and looking untouched . If it possible better move out fresh seedlings, less stress. But it all depends:watchplant:

Hey quattro,

yes i am loving it as well. Already in winter i am sitting there and waiting for spring...
it is so lovely in spring without growing even; but when you can see forward for two things: Sun & a nice Grow, it is like perfect!!!
My mind is always around my grow, the whole time - always thinking about the strains and suiting spots for them, new methods concerning fertilizing/watering, thinking about places for new spots/search for them and the other logistic stuff like soil and so on...
...and of course all this wants to be reported soon here on ICmag :D

Yeah but it is quite fun everytime!

Yes, i do pregrow them under a cfl 200w bulb.
I was stunning as i wrote about your "strange" experiences... never had such extreme reaction after putting them outdoors...especially after 24h !!!
perhaps i was only lucky until now, i will be carefull this year to be sure.
so i will plant them during a cloudy period i think that should prevent such troubles discribed in your post.

...by the way, i have to have a look for the baby´s....

Yes that experiment was a little extreme and unusual for me. I used to move them out in cloudy warm weather as you saying. These three of them was the weakest in brood and I could efford it. I Hope the rest of girls reveg well.:ying:

Have a nice weekend!:yay:

Hello

As i mentioned before the Shaman from Dutch Passion
will be in the run upcoming season as well.

...Allover, it is a nice genetic
It is very tough against mould
and the other outdoor-issues.

But It´s taste is a bit special,
i think not everyone will like it;

personally i think it is okay, "something different in between",
with a good harvest and showable potency!

Until now i have seen two pheno´s. One is quite overall purple, the other one matures only purpled
buds and budleaves. One of these has the
mentioned "special taste" more internalized,
but sorry i don´t remember which one...

Following pictures show the pheno with purple buds; it was a quite nice plant, but it had too much nitrogen in bloom so it got a bit leavy:

Hey Folks

it got rather silent in this thread the last couple of days....

let´s do something against...

Today some pics of my outdoor grown plant called Jaggen.

This is a gorgeous genetic:
A very special Jack Flash Cut selected from a active cannabis-enthusiast and growerforum-founder from germany.

His name was Knospe.
Tragically he died very unexpected, as far as i know at night in bed.

R.I.P. Knospe
and thanks for all you have done for us!

This genetic is available as a clone only, and got some kind of icon in the german speaking countries.

First of all an indoor picture from the grower farma cause i don´t have any,
just to show how much capability this genetic has indoors...

picture.php

Last spring i had some space-issues and
had to put out a lot of stuff, so i decided to
give it a try outdoors with some "indoor-strains"....

Jaggen
whole plant in summer, without buds

Following pictures were taken at about half of flower or little later...

As you can see, it was far away from a optimal grown jaggen bud, as shown before, but imho it is worth planting it outdoors!

The yield is not compareable to indoor as well bud-development was unusual and nearly without calyxes, it seems that something retained these plants outdoors (cold nights or something); or perhaps i did something wrong.

Anyways, cause outdoors the flavour developed gorgeous as well, it was/will be definitely worthwhile...

In this years season i will give it a try with the daughter from the Jaggen called "Grüne Hessin". I think she will suit perhaps a little better for outdoors, we will see... *fingerscrossed* :)

high regards

Hey uc1,

thanks for your interest!
Yes indeed, it is rather crowded here; sometimes dreaming about the big forests and areas in Canada or the US...

but here you can find some nice spots as well; as you can see... :)
Of course you have to be open for compromises, you cannot go like the guys with their x-hundred liters airpots and dripline feeding...

...BUT i am satisfied as well! One day there will be the circumstances to do it more professional :)

Yes, like you suggested, i have an 17/7 schedule for the Lady´s; i think there will be at least 15,5 hours of sunlight when i put them out; thats enough to keep them in veg.

The very first plants mentioned iin this thread will go out in about a week i think.

have a nice evening!

high regards
Hazeo
