With the help of a few wealthy notables willing to put their own self interests first including the likes of newspaper magnate, William Randolf Hearst, Harry was able to paint a vivid picture of just how incredibly dangerous this innocent appearing plant really is. Quoting from Hearst’s San Francisco Examiner:
Don’t allow yourself to fall prey to a fact-based reality!
Questions & Answers
Many people, even after years of education about marijuana, still have questions. Here are some common questions we are often asked:
Q: The supporters of Prop 19 paint a very different picture of marijuana. How do I know who is right?
A: It all comes down to whom do you trust? On the one hand you have the United States government’s view as best exemplified by the brilliant Harry Anslinger. On the other hand you have a bunch of dope-smoking young punks and dirty old hippies who really only have science on their side. Who cares what some "reefer-loving" over-educated research types and scientists happen to think? Our politicians clearly know best.
Q: What is the appropriate punishment for the possession of marijuana?
A: Here’s an example from Oklahoma. On June 11, 1992, Larry Jackson was arrested at a friend’s Tulsa apartment. Larry had a lengthy history of nonviolent petty crimes. Near Larry’s foot on the floor, authorities found a minuscule amount of marijuana – 0.16 of a gram, which is 0.005644 of an ounce. Mr. Jackson was charged with felony marijuana possession, convicted and given a life sentence.
Q: Do people who smoke marijuana"reefers" often go into a delirious rage, commit murder and then later not even remember it?
A: Yes.
Q: Did George Washington and Abraham Lincoln really use marijuana?
A: Yes they did, but please remember that they used it prior to Harry Anslinger discovering the deadly dangers and immorality of marijuana. Therefore, even though George Washington said, “Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere.”, he shouldn’t be thought of as a marijuana criminal as there were no laws against marijuana at that time. Let’s face it, it was an out-and-out miracle that George was able to function as a Revolutionary War general at all.
Lincoln said, “Two of my favorite things are sitting on my front porch smoking a pipe of sweet hemp, and playing my Hohner harmonica.” We can’t prove it, but it is pretty likely that it was Lincoln’s drug addled brain that was the real cause of the Civil War. In fact, if it weren’t for Lincoln’s hemp habit we’d probably all still have our slaves today.
Q: Do you have to be a Republican to Oppose Prop 19?
A: No… but it helps. After all it was Ronald Reagan himself who said "I now have absolute proof that smoking even one marijuana cigarette is equal in brain damage to being on Bikini Island during an H-bomb blast" and "Permanent brain damage is one of the inevitable results of the use of marijuana." And, it was Carlton Turner, Reagan’s Drug Czar, who figured out that marijuana use causes homosexuality.
Q: What if s Prop 19 supporter wants to debate Prop. 19 and marijuana with me?
A: Explain that you are very familiar with Harry Anslinger and so you already know all you need to know about marijuana. Then simply walk away. The most important thing is to not react when he or she calls you a “moron”. You never know who might be right on the verge of a marijuana induced murderous rage.
*.....so remember all the anti Prop 19 supporters......when someone calls you a 'moron'...... don't react and report it as a TOU infraction......or someone may go into a marijuana induced murderous rage ....ROTFLMAO!!!
This is friggin' GREAT!! If this is their "Campaign" then they are helping us!!
I have to say tho, this looks more like a joke somebody made--
But to read what is there, and check out the different sections on this...had me fucking laughing out loud!!
Plus, they made mistakes (I think) in the writing...for instance
"Put their own self interest first"...lol!!
IMO, this kind of opposition will help us!! There are not very many ppl out there, that can honestly take this seriously!!
But for sure...it is an entertaining read--
