Im glad to see you back with Guawi mayan ;)

yep, she's somewhat similar in requeriments to Golden Tiger, but she's easier to grow and less N sensitive, usually talking lot of weight after 6 weeks of flowering and maturing aromas and resins after 10 weeks. Is she from clone or seed ? standard or fem ? Best wishes!

Hi dubi...Grew her from fem seed. Right now she looks to be -at least in my mind- a tropical sativa. Very branchy and small flowers that look like wheat grain. The Panama -popped at the same time- has larger and much more developed flowers - they were both put in 12/12 about 30 days ago. Very exciting to be growing her out.

Hi dubi! A few days/weeks ago, you suggested that I come up with the pack date of the Guawi as you would be able to tell -better- what kind of genetic mix the batch was and might be able to better guide regarding flowering time frames. I checked - the packing date on the gauawi pack is June 16, 2010 (16/6/10). Any further thoughts about make-up of that batch or what to look for in terms of flowering time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

She's at about 61 days of 12/12. Looking fine. her buds are long and delicate but she's begiinning to pack it on. Pictures soon.

Hi all...looking for some guidance at the current time from folks who have grown out Guawi (or something similar). She has been flowering about 79 days at this point. I was thinking of taking her 14 weeks (if possible) but that's a VERY arbitrary goal based upon very scant information (one person seems to have taken at 90 days - one person seems to have taken at 17 weeks...yikes!!). So I'm wondering what others have done. Shorter? Longer? Any sense of how the characteristics of the "high" may change over the next few weeks? I get the sense from reading others' accounts that a sativa taken at 12 weeks may be very different than one taken at 14. Not having taken any strain this long, I am venturing into unknown territory. I am not so much interested in couch-lock as much as I am in heightened psychoactive, trippy effect - I guess, I'm looking to try to find that "sweet spot" for this strain.

Your thoughts/experiences/opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello mayan,

Then is the first Guawi release we did: malawi #4 x Tikal 2008, she usually needs 12 weeks to mature, maybe a bit more indoors from seed. High depends on the expression, it's usually quite malawi influenced with all her strength and deep long lasting effect, dont overmature too much if you are looking for more active day time effects ;) Best wishes!

Fun With Guawi...

Fun With Guawi...

OK...on this the eve of her 91st day under 12/12, the Guawi has come down. I have no idea as to whether she was ready or not but hell...the temps are climbing...humidity is brutal and mold was a consideration (although I have not found any on her - at least to the naked eye. As well, several of the branches were close to dragging on the floor or breaking. All things considered...it was time for her to come down.

As you can see, she was Chlorophylled Pandemonium. Anarchy in a Smart Pot. I had a very hard time with her nutritionally speaking. Definite issues that became more and more pronounced in the last couple of weeks. I don't think, however, that I have grown any plant that has been this -um- voluptuous. I threw in a picture of the bare boned skeleton...as you can see, quite complex...lots and lots o' thin branches...if you look close you can see that I had a complicated system of wire struts and supports to try to keep her in some semblance of order.

At great danger to myself, I sacrificed my body to science by sampling her a couple of times over the past couple of weeks. I am pleased to say that she is mind-shredding and makes other potent selections from the stash seem relatively thin, pallid and plain. I had some last night and woke up absolutely unable to figure out what day it was...at least for the first couple of minutes or so. My world remained very strange for a good portion of the morning. Can only imagine what she'll be like after the cure.

The kolas are massive - however they are composed of relatively airy sativic bud. In the aggregate very dense but individually pretty elongated and thin. Her scent is pure solvent. Her taste, however, in the vape was blissfully sweet.

Buenas weak,

Si a principios de Julio tiene ya 1,60, es fácil que para septiembre cuando esté florando ya mas fuerte te llegue a los 3 metros :) Sobretodo si tiene el agua necesaria y la sigues abonando con mimos. Saludos!
