Funny you mention Flora Nova. I may purchase GH nutes to funk with until I dial a strain in. H&G nutes are a bit pricey when you're mixing up 50+gal, but seem to be legit as shit.
You've got me excited dude, I think 2,000w may be the way to go.
That floranova is concentrated as hell 50 gallons you ll start around 7 or 8 tbls after you get it were you want it, its just add a 1 tbls or 2 every 4 to 5 days something like that. 4 weeks of veg and I barely used 1/4 bottle bam the veg is done. Its worth the $$$. If your still thinking of 2 600s or 2 1000s here it is 2 1000s 4 x 8 scrog = 4 - 5 lbs
2 600s 3 x 6 scrog = 2 - 3 lbs not trying to nock 600s I love them Im just saying you got the space you got rdwc why not try to maximize your grow in your room. One more thing 3 600s would kick ass the light would be spread out better than the 2 1000s and you ll yield about the same as the 1000s. All yields are considering very good growing conditions.
w/ that much high-tech control, should be interesting to manipulate vapor pressure deficit, spectrum array, diff (especially ^night temps), root temps, etc.
fun altering variables w/ low-tech gear; easier to get accurate+precise levels+repeat tests, etc. w/ machines working properly.
can hang those 1k's w/ out cool tubes. 1 hung centered on plant center (mh to promote sturdy+bushy side growth), 1 hung slightly higher (hps to promote stretch). uvb over-head (1 uvb+1 daylight flouro in each 2 tube fixture).
above options may be applicable + rewarding. enjoy your garden!
How long them babies been in the dwc. Do a little test here. Take that 1000 out of the box. Take 1 of the t5 out and pop in that 1000 see what happens. After one week under the 1000 mine were about 10" tall and 12" wide little bushes. Either way they look very healthy
About a week and a half. Conditions have not been ideal while assembling and testing all of this equipment so I don't expect them to be top notch this go around.
I did a stupid move and dropped the light down to 6-8" last night and they let me know they were going to have none of that. So I've got nice deep purple stems and some heat stress to overcome. No biggie, they'll shake it off.
I'll get some new pics here in a minute, need to clean up this mess I made assembling some new gear.
Thanks for all the info dude, it's been educational.
for further inspiration/reference point, this may be in the realm of scaling up+modeling after:
biomass production unit by orbitec. the fuzzy logic option on your meter sparked recollection. doable on larger scale w/ effort+research+patience. circa 2003 space shuttle grow box. the specs are the important thing.
Shit some of mine always have purple stems from clone to flower never an issue. I have other probs like PM right now so I got a sulphur burner hopefully I can rid that shit. I pop up some pics here in a couple of days show you a 4x8 scrog over 2000 watt
Wow, I tripped on their website browsing over the tech. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot dude, enjoy the show!

That'll give you 2 months after an 8 hour burn. PM is systemic, so any clones from an infected plant carry the disease as well, keep this in mind.
PM is as common to Oregon as rain so we're always trying different things. If you're in bloom just spot spray with any of the 'miracle drugs' and you should make it by. All they do is alter the PH temporarily to stop it from growing, but nothing to my knowledge truly cures the problem.
I give em tap water at first bring the ppm up to about 550 600 for start in the dwc. Most of the time you get the roots going crazy after a week or once they hit the water they explode with growth so maybe your nutes are to high. Low nutes is better than high nutes,
I'm trying to figure that out. PPM is around 750ish and they're half way through week 2.
The manual for the hydro system claims that due to increased levels of dissolved oxygen, nutrient strength should be 1/3-2/3 what you would normally run. I tried half strength for almost a week and they kept yellowing up so I flushed and went to 1:1 what H&G chart says and they seemed to handle it fine.
I'll probably drain it a bit and dilute down to 600ish to see if there's any improvements. Shitty circumstances in my eyes because the two that look great don't need to suffer to accommodate the others.
