The Rib test if a bone comes out clean the meat is butter .One rack was hit with some bbq sauce an foiled the darker rack wasn't foiled or sauced .The bottom rack was sauced

This one comes cooked (confit) allready;french style.

Confit means cooked slowly in fat more or less.Usually you find legs&wings this way.
The breast (magret) is eaten fresh.
You have Canard a la orange, classic french cuisine.

The chinese are fond of duck too.
I don´t think is popular on the States;must be because of Donald the Duck, Disney and that...more of Turkey people.

Aubergine, red&green pepper, onion garlic,courgette,fresh tomato,olive oil, salt sugar, herbs.Dutch Cheese.
You can add minced meat if you wish.Lamb, pork,beef...

Around 40/45 min 160 C

Easy and nice. 1 leek slightly cooked in a bit of butter with oil.
1 tin of tuna, cream, pasta, salt&black pepper cheese.

Wonderfull pictures as usual!! Today I can post something also. Was eating out for lunch with my wife, today is my 50th birthday.

One time Scalopini with gorgonzola sauce and one time with green peper sauce. My wife said it was the best gorgonzola sauce in her lifetime. :tiphat:

wow herman that both looks rly yomyom delicious to me, a good gorgonzola sauce is so gorgeous and if it rly was a lifetime best, wow, can´t imagine that taste explosion... now i´m hungry again, this thread is a fkn love-hate :rolleyes:

Garlic Soup

Garlic Soup


This is the special bread we use for soup SOPAKO.
You can use leftovers/old bread, just toast it a bit.

1) We make a stock with wáter a whole garlic head crushed,oil, salt.

2)We chop a lot of garlic and chilli (optative), we cook it in oil a bit,low fire.

3)Add the bread, and cook it a bit.
4) Add the stock, salt parsley.
5) Add some whisked eggs.


Great to have a bowl after a night out drinking and that, before going to bed. You´ll have less hangover.


Olive oil with chilli and garlic.

Today I have something funny. Was visiting my dad in a Hospital, near Hannover in northern Germany. We had to look for something to eat for lunch. Found a Bayern Stadl. :laughing: Bavaria has nothing to do with this area. It´s like a Texas Grill in the South Bronx. Most of the americans think whole Germany is like Bavaria but it isn´t.

In North Germany we call it Maibaum (Maytree), this one is a bavarian style Maibaum.

The food was just solid, nothing special

In front a goulash from deer with Spaetzle, my wife had Gruenkohl. Gruenkohl is a meal, from north germany. It´s a tradition, that you eat it after the temparature goes first time under the freezing point in autum.
