You really need a jewlers eye or a scope of some sort to see the trichs clearly if 50% are amber its a good time to harvest.
Yep, been using the Radio Shack 80x magnifier. I've watched the trichs till I'm cross-eyed. Even though some look they are a little bit amber, most are just cloudy and a few clear. It almost looks like the trichs are melting down into an oily residue on the buds.
Some of the calyxes are still swelling and shooting out new pistils.
One other note, I did chop off the big cola a month ago...it was big and thick and I thought it might mildew right on the plant. Smelled like cat piss amonia. Can that speed up the pistils turning?
that's over flowered.
Will some plants never have amber trichs?
Is 3 months too long or can some flower longer?
OK, so that would be the first I've heard some plants never go amber.
That being the case, it has probably flowered a little bit too long. No matter, I was going to chop it in a day of two anyway.
