Do you belive in love?

True love changes, I don't think it ends.

I think passion ends. That feeling of butterflies in your stomach, when you can't wait to see that new love, the loss of appetite at the thought of your next encounter, forgetting money problems, forgetting your friends exist, and everything that comes in the good times.....like an old girlfriend - it ends.

Love is when the bad times come around and that person is still there by your side, even if there is no passion, some times it is more meaningfull than anything in the world...

I am sorry but I disagree with most of you. Relationships often do last. Don't you have any old friends?

As far as passion my wife and I have been together since 15 years old and we still have passion. Not quite like when 15 but we really still love each other. We have never been apart and we will remain together until the death of one of us. I am sorry it doesn't usually work out that way anymore.

I understand the bitterness people feel. One of my best friends is a huge man and all he ever wanted was a family. His first love dumped him and he was broken hearted swearing love would never be for him. I told him he was probably wrong and that many women would love to love him and have his children if he wouldn't give up on love.

One day he told me how his life had changed and how he has a wife and kids he loves so much. He is so happy and I know his love is the reason he works so hard. Who knows if one day he will be divorced? I hope not but it is better to have "loved and lost than never to have loved at all". Nothing ventured, nothing gained. It is a gamble.

But I remember before I had a girlfriend and I know what I wanted from the start. I wanted a best friend for life to be my wife. It sounds corny but I am a loner who normally doesn't have a lot of friends. We have shared a rewarding life raising our son and so this question troubles me. Of course I believe in love.

Life itself is love. Look at any animal mother with its babies and see how natural love is in nature. People have the same basic needs as the animals and without love we can never grow to be altruistic. Or to be self effaceing meaning caring more about something else than yourself.

I am still a selfish pig but being married has been a rewarding experience I can't imagine anything else really. I guess I am dependent and so is my wife. I guess we are addicted to each other and when one dies the other will be lost. Perhaps it always ends badly eventually but the same is true with our pets. We still keep replacing them and taking the love we can get because we all need love.

Its a fact and there are many kinds of love. To live is to love however and so many of you who dont believe in love are such loving people that this makes me sad. BOG

Hi Everyone.
I am sorry but I have to come out of my shell on this one and put my .2c in. Don't we make our own dreams and nightmares or illusions? I am glad that BOG is living in a dreamworld and so am I. God knows It took us long enough to build it. If dullisions are what we create to be happy then there is nothing wrong with that. We could say the same thing about using dullisions to be unhappy or not beliving in love. We are our own worst enemy. We can't learn to love anyone or anything that life has to offer us until we forgive our own selves of our crimes to this world and humanity. If someone is mad at life and everything in it which pretty much wraps up the word "Love" then they should not let it eat at themselves but find out why they have rejected such a wonderful emotion in life and better themselves from what took them down to that level to begin with. Everyone that is alive is a winner. We all took first place trophies going into the egg and we are loved by something more greater than any human will ever understand and it simply cannot be explained. It can only be accepted with open arms.
There are so many different levels of love and so many different degrees. How about agopy love. A love that is above all others, a love so strong that we cannot imagine it with our finite minds. A love so strong that it caused a big bang and created a universe. A love so strong that not even death could conquer it. A love that our creator has for each of us when we were designed eons ago before this world was ever formed.
How about our love for our spouses and loved ones. I have been living with the same woman for 27 years and we will be celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary this comming year. I have never been more in love with her than I am now. It is a different kind of love than it was 25 years ago. It is a love out of respect for what she is as a human being first and then being my wife second. For me to be the greatest to her is to be the least or the most humble I can in serving her as a loyal husband and her best friend. It took us 27 years to get this far and it was not easy but every day we work towards love we see love taking a step towards us. It doesn't come for free if it did then everyone would have one. We have to work at it but to me and everyone else living in this dreamworld that love has to offer, we think it is well worth it.

sincerely

You are perfect for the matrix system. And for BigBrother scene that is going to a realworld, not knowing you've been watched.

A love so strong that it caused a big bang and created a universe.

And you are sure it was love?

What is hard to understand is even questioning whether love exists. You see many people who have it and yet you don't believe.

The world doesn't determine whether you learn to maintain good long term relationships. Some people are happier because they do maintain long term relationships well. You may not call that love but I do.

My dreamworld isn't a dream. I see all the lonely people and it is very sad. My advice is to try again. BOG :)
