Id go vert for trees, I just cant see how u could get 6 to 7' penetration with overhead light like u can with vert.
Id do the tree style like heaths or screens with 4 plants around 2 or 3 vert bulbs. With the right strains its very possible to get into that 1.5 to 2gpw range.

Well let's do some math to see how big these plants can be with Gavita's or E-Paps and see what we are dealing with. If I have 10' ceilings, the light itself loses 1 foot of space. Then the lights have to be 3 feet away from the canopy. So far that's 4 feet lost. Then the pot that the plant is in is at least 1 foot. That's 5 feet. So that makes a potential 5 foot plant. But then you have the bottom of the plant pruned as well so I'm counting a maximum of 4 feet of penetration. Maybe you're right though and I should just run vertical. To be safe I just better do a test and see with my own eyes. Those Gavita's seem to put out a lot of light compared to some IC members here. I think they can penetrate a 4' plant but I'm just guessing. In the end it's all about the combination between yield and quality. Whatever does the best is the one that I'm going to go with but I won't know until it's tested. I'm seeing great results in all different situations on other people's threads so I really not going to form any opinions until I see the tests with my own eyes. Should be lots of fun actually. Thanks for your advice.
