Dude if you dont pick this place up you're a fucking idiot. You're the only one who actually WANTS to get out of this hell hole that is texas and go up north. This is literally almost an ideal situation. I know you have the funds, you're just too scared to pick up and go, NOW.
I think you should get off the oilfields and move back to where it is nice, immediately.
just my two cents
lets put it this way yukon... i'm younger than you, and already in my life when certain opportunitites have came my way and i saw them, recognized them, yet let them pass due to my lack of getting it done, i have huge regrets. and im only 22, havent even entered the real job market yet, but still.
this is one of those type of situations, for you, i would assume......
150.000$ is way too much for that imo...I'd understand if it had more land. But 9acres is really not much. If i had rural surviving in mind i would not go under 40 acres..
i figured as much, based on your posts over the last 2 yrs or so.....
like i said, i think we're both on the same side of this... its just the other half of you that's holding you back... get that half on board and lets make this an adventure. go for it, and i will personally promise that if/when i get up to anchorage, i'll take a little snowmobile/boat/atv trip just to have a j, some convo, and of course, get more gas
