yes they are 2l bottles and my inspiration does come from doc. but I have my own need like water schedules and drip system concerns which made me go for larger containers. Plus the larger the container the larger the flower. So we'll see what happens with a little more room and some very intense hps light.
I'm hoping with decent yielding strains I wont get any less than a half oz every plant. That would get me 1 1/2 oz every 7 to 9 days minimum. That's about 6oz a month! Hell yeah! Wouldn't it be nice if I could pull at least a 25g plant every so often. aaahhh, dream,dream,dream.

really awesome cab man, very stealthy with that 'just another piece of bedroom
furniture' thing goin' on. and beautiful work on the conversion too maing!
very clean lookin' job! kudo's for mad DIY skills!
also, i've grown in the 20oz and the 2L bottles under nothing but CFL's
so i'd have to say that your results under 400HPS should be better
than mine so this is only a guess but, lol, i start mine at like 3 - 4 inchs
and they finish at like 15 - 20 inchs with a wet wieght of between 50g
and 80g, so i'd say getting your hoped for 1\2 oz should be very doable
for ya man.
anyway, thanks for sharing your work, you're gonna help a lot of noobs,
and not-quite-noobs like me too lol.

I'm glad to here your results because if I can consistently get a half oz even for newly sprouted seeds that would be awesome and keep my numbers on track.
so just kick back and smoke a spliff. more to come......
oh yeah. I have some pretty good swag seeds sitting around. Should I pop a few and see what happens or just say fuck it and not possibly waist my time??

btw, that bin looks awful familiar, is it duct taped? i think i had those
same bins as my proto-type 1's.
here's a shot of one of the proto-type 2's with almost the exact same footprint
as you can see in the pic, one of the reasons i upgraded was the fact that
the bin's are heavy duty black plastic so light proof. lol, no duct tape.
another plus with these bins is they come in several sizes, with the 2 gallon
and the 7 gallon with this same footprint. oh, yeah, the 7 gallon or 27 quart
as it's actually rated at was $9.99 at Lowes. for more details check out my
imaginary garden.

no duct tape yet. I'll spray paint the bottom container black when the time comes to add the drip system inside it.

No No your not pushy I think its a great idea. 20 sounds good some might not make it and their will be some herms without a doubt. I just need to make sure I don't overload the cabs with too much where I end up with a mess. I still have to sprout in weekly increments of at least six seeds every week so I can stay up with the perpetual system and hopefully add some to the first cab I started running.

What up! I water the plants flowering at 4 weeks about once every two days just to make sure they stay completely wet. The new clones and clones 2 weeks into flower only get watered every 3rd day. They could go four I bet. Hell yea bro thats what I'm talking about that's how I'd do it if I went HID!!! But I'm pullin some huge buds at the moment so I'll stick with my CFL's ... hey with your moms how many watts are the cfls?? cuz since I switched veg cabs and I went from 6 26w 6500K CFLs to 1 4ft 54w 6500K T5 and 2 2ft 17w 7800K T8s and my growth has slowed majorly what used to take a week is taking 2 weeks!!
