Hey DD,
Glad I found this thread, I picked up an mpe65 and mt24ex twin flash earlier this year but haven't used it as much as I'd like to.
Are you using a focusing rail for your shots? I've debated investing in the cognisys stackshot but the cost is almost as much as the lens. I did find my mpe on eBay for a pretty nice deal and saved a few hundred on it.
