By far and without a doubt, the least expensive conventional, synthetic fertilizers

Waiting for my order of Jacks to arrive. 5-12-26 and calnit 25# of each. I mix 50 gallons every 2 days DTW coco. Excited to be able to afford a years supply of nutes at a time!

how many grams per gallon of the 5 12 26 and calNit do you mix for separate 1 gallon stock solutions. how much of the 1/.66 ratio changes when using tap water (mines around 300 ppms) im in SS#4 with added perlite and ewc hand water drain to waste. interested in making the switch from dyna grow to jacks (so im trying to understand this info in a MLs per Gallon ratio) thanks for the help

Screw Maxi bloom

Screw Maxi bloom

Been trying GH Maxibloom over Jacks to see if one part solution could help to KISS (even if way more expansive)..

Went at 1tps/gal in hydroponic, in middle of flowering, got yellowing unhealthy plants...

So going back with Jacks+CalNit+Si

Long live to JACKS! :dance013:

I've got a quick question for people using the jacks hydro and calcnit. I'm running at 600 ppm in straight coco. I use ro'd water and once mixed at a 1:.667 ratio I come out with a ph of 5.3. Do people add ph up or just leave it as is?

Fwiw mine comes out to 6.0 and I ph down to 5.8 at the same ratio but with tap water coming out at 30ppm. Also running more around 700ppm total.

Does it matter what I'm using to ph with? I've noticed that my general hydroponics ph up adds about 30-40 ppm per gallon. The ph up isn't going to lock anything out by adding nutrients is it?

My rodi is around 5.9 or 6.0. I mix jacks 5 12 26 + calcnit to 600ppm and get 5.4 to 5.6. Ive been adding 2mil/gal of SM90 which brings me back to 5.9 to 6.0. May stop the SM90 tho to check and see how it works for me again. Not sure

Good stuff here. Thanks everyone.
I just switched to dyna foliar pro. But only available in gallons come to find out. And not the cheapest. Still cheaper than the canna I've been using.
Gonna give the jacks a whirl.

Best Source for Small Batch salts IMHO

Best Source for Small Batch salts IMHO

Anyone know where to get just jugs of 1 pound mixes? One gallon as it is would last me way too long

Great Service and Shipping is fast......

However, HOWEVER..they do not carry Jacks per se... Long Story short, JR Peters sold versions of their formula as OEM for PETERS professional Line. Everris ICL currently distribute it through AG companies in 25lb bags.

I have used the Peter's Professional 5-11-26 with the same 3-2-1 mixology with damn good results.

The version CHN carries may be the old SKU with 4% Sulphur. The new version is with 8% Sulphur. Closer to the actual Jack's Version.

Welcome to the Rabbit Hole....enjoy the trip.

CHN doesn't care the 5-11-26 anymore.

Edit: sorry I was thinking of Hydro-Gardens not carrying the 5-11-26 anymore, long night..

Just this guy, ya know?
I just started reading this thread but holy cow, those Peter's Professional nutrients are very cheap compared to the Canna stuff I was using.
