stirin' the pot so to speak i see. well since none of our mutuals are around i guess that's me giving you support. if they aren't agreeing with you just go back to the first point you both agreed on and rebuild from there. if that don't work, grab the fattest one bite their head of and see if there is creamy nougat inside!!! if that don't get the others to come around to your way of thinking, at least it won't leave many who want to argue. haha take care hope it goes well for ya, oh and probably shouldn't really try the bite someone's head off thing, just a joke.....

RIGHT ON! Grass Roots activism is the best way to affect change.I applaud you.Debating on a web site devoted to growing is the same as crying about your boss in the bar.Nothing changes.The mail in ballots just went out.I've been telling students that money saved from the justice/criminal system and money from taxes could go to California schools.Just pick the best bullet point and ask how they feel about this.

Here's the best logic I've thought up to use on them (results not guaranteed- the premise that they can be reasoned with is pretty flawed):
A ban on buying anything is equally unconstitutional to a mandate on buying anything.
Now I know the CSA has a hell of a lot stronger legal backing than the health care bill, but they don't. Pretty simple premise- if the government can't tell you what you have to buy, they can't tell you what you have to NOT buy as well.

If you thought the anti 19ers on icmag couldn't make a valid point you should have heard the tea baggers!!!! I ripped up more ass than Ron Jeremy in high school. I'll be back with a more detailed post after the chargers whip some raider ass.

I'm pretty drunk but I'll say that most tea baggers are beyond irrational. The only two arguments they could make to me is that 1) mj is a gateway drug and 2) they don't want their kids to become stoners. When faced with statistics and facts that proved these beliefs to be wrong they cursed me out and walked away. I did hand out over 200 pro-19 flyers. Maybe i wasted my day, maybe I changed some minds, but what I learned is that some peoles views won't ever be changed and i presented strong arguments very rationally that many people did agree with. Oh and alot of people took my picture, which was pretty cool. One lady got so pissed off she knocked the flyers out of my hand and was dragged off by local police. It was golden. It gained alot of attention from surrounding people who were inquisitive as to what I was doing and many of which agreed with many points I made, possibly gaining more support for 19. But really when your talking points are creating jobs, lowering tax payers dollars wasted by prohibition, generating revenue and keeping marijuana out of the hands if children, it's hard to oppose my stance.

Well I'll give some more detail. This lady came up to me completely belligerant screaming how she doesn't want her kid to turn into a "fucking stoner" and that we pro19ers are " smut peddling anti value liberal crack heads " who wanted nothing more than turn our society into a bunch of braindead morons. So I asked her if our drug policy has already failed to keep mj out of the hands of children, why should we continue a failed policy? Shouldn't we legalize it and regulate it so only those of age could acquire it? To which she replies "we'll regulate it by locking all you dopeheads up and if I had my way ID arrest you right now!". So now were getting personal and I reply that for a person who's so pro freedom she sure has alot of communist beliefs like arresting and silencing anyone who doesn't agree with her. Now she's pissed. So she starts SCREAMING " I don't want my son to become a fucking drugged out loser!!!". So I ask her how old her son is and she tells me he's 26 years old. So I ask her if her son is unable to make his own choices? She replies "not if he wants to be a fucking druggie !!" and slaps the fliers out of my hand and starts shoving me. The cops were watching us the entire conversation and as soon as she put hands on me the cops grabbed her and pulled her away. They came over to me and asked if I wanted to press charges for assault, to which I declined. After the fiasco, one of the officers said "you know what: your right. Keeping mj illegal only causes more problems than it helps. Can I get one of those fliers?"

Fuck the Tea Party. I accidentally went to a rally years ago thinking it was a bunch of Ron Paul loving freedom fighters who I would naturally get along with. Instead some Republican asshole was spewing bullshit about the necessity of war and how they have their own special way to tax us that is better then how Obama taxes us.

Well you obviously hate the Tea Party so perhaps it's your attitude that got people alienated. While it's a fact that the most prominent faction in TP are socon assholes, hence the anti-19 sentiment, I'm sure there are quite a few libertarian minded anti-socialists there. This habit of injecting unrelated pro-democrat bias into prohibition debate only hinders the cause by dividing anti-prohibition crowd.
