I really enjoy playin poker,but only when I can see the folks I'm playin against. We play on friday nights, usually dealers choice with a Grant buy in and the house gets a quarter from the winner after every hand to cover eats...byob!

pokerstars.com <--- The biggest, most legit poker site on the net. The fact that cheaters were caught on full tilt shouldn't bother you very much. First of all, they only played high stakes, and second of all its very rare. A beginning player on low stakes has nothing to worry about. And no cheaters have ever been caught on pokerstars. If you are smart, don't mind thinking a lot, and are good at studying there's a good chance you could be a profitable poker player. Its the best job in the world in my opinion, besides maybe owning a nice business and just sitting back and doing nothing. But even if I didn't need the money I would still play poker for fun.

Back from my lil away time, and yeah, i've made some deep money playing poker, underground casino and i was sponsored because of my "idiot face"... seriously, hahhaha, i seem like i have a million tells, but i'm just crazy and amoral.
unfortunately, the lesser part of the money was for me, as it was a rather substantial debt that was due to police confiscating some... bibles, yeah, bibles.
I never play... unless it's with my friend's money. I hate the fact that yeah, i may walk out of here a bit richer, but i could also just lose my money. Bird in hand, my friend, bird in hand...

This thread got me re-hooked on poker and i went practicing my skills online and went to a free tournament last night....
5th place out of 47... not bad :-D then again, it was mostly bluffing, and i never played more than one round with the same person... I think after a while i'd get pretty predictable, gotta practice more strategy for next time! hopefully ask a friend to sponsor me for a private party :-D
