Basically you buy your box/device 2) Plug in your HDMI(or if you have a stick, pop it in your hdtv)3) set up your wifi on it/ethernet. 4)In the browser go to kodi.com or the google play store and download the latest stable Kodi for whatever device you have(right now its 16.0 Jarvis). 5)Open up your Kodi, and go to Settings-file manager---add source--type in http://fusion.tvaddons.ag , on the bottom name it "Fusion" click ok. 6) Go back out to Settings---then Addons---then install from zip--click on your Fusion---its should give you choices, and since its your first time click on the HubWizard---it should say loaded on the bottom. 7) Go back to Settings---Addons---Programs---you should see the Configuration wizard--click install. This wizard will give you all the major/reliably updated addons..

Once you're done playing around and testing, go back to Settings---file manager and add http://srp.nu , name it Superrepo---ok---back to settings---addons---install from zip---superrepo---click category video. I like this because superrepo has almost everything---back to settings--addons---install from repository---superrepo video...and start loading the addons you want. Here are some I think are great...

For news: BBTS...has every news channel in multiples, always reliably working. Msnbc, CNN, Fox News(I think, if youre into that), you can go back out to documentary: Discovery History, Science, bunch others...

Israellive: great working live tv channels
PakIndialive: same
Dexter: need to sign up, works ok
USTV now: this is a pay live tv service, run out of Pennsylvania, for the military, completely legal
any others just throw em up....but the wizard will give you all the best free movies like Exodus and SALTS, which are like Netflix on steroids...

Sportdevil: This will give you all the live sports/sports channels for free. No more paying for UFC fights. You need to download the latest zip tho from the Tvaddons website or you can just google "Latest Sportdevil zip" in your browser, you'll find it. Once downloaded---go to Settings---Addons---Install from zip---click on your storage--click downloads---click on sportdevil's latest zip(right now dated Feb 1st I believe)...

Most importantly buy a raw device, and not one that's been loaded or fucked with, because they can throw other junk on there as well...

but whats with downloading all this stuff to see different channels & what not ? i'm no IT specialist !
do i have to have an internet connection on every TV ? or just a hdmi port ? I'm just tying to figure out what i'd need before i go buying alot of unneeded stuff .

No, just an HDMI. Whatever android/device box you choose will pick up your wifi downstairs or wherever it is. They say it's good to have an internet speed of at least 10 mbps. Since internet is my only bill now, I gave it a bump up to 75mbps. I have free phone with ooma(only pay your state 911 tax). All this made it easier to afford my power bill(fukn crooks!)

Purchased a firestick from kmart last night. Took me about 3 times of watching this video on YouTube. Works great. Here's the link. Dansbuds and Smokinjoe I'm not it specialist either. If I can do it, you can do it

You able to sideload a browser on one of those sticks, or are you using ES file explorer? Although I think you can sideload a lot of things with ES. I put Opera onto my Shield with it...very nice tool.

yeah Ganj is dead nuts here, if you want to try it out cheap, get the fire/firestick at amazon. M8 android boxes will work ok too, but I found myself unplugging/replugging to much. The fire in no way works cheap tho, great device at low cost. I have the Nvidia Sheild, works flawlessly plus the boys get a little gaming action($150 i think), also Minix Neo x8 is at the top for around $100. But only buy the RAW ones, stay away from the ones that say "Fully Loaded". Its very easy to do it yourself, hit me up. If you imagine a movie its there in HD(including some in theaters/just released on Bluray). Usually when they are released on bluray/ppv, they are available for free in 720p/1080p on Exodus, SALTS, and many others. Also there is Live tv channels with most channels you can think of. Its fuggin great, I only pay for internet..

merx , sorry brutha , but ya lost me on half that shit .

one thing , i do have the PC2go on 2 of my TVs already . the wife bought them . the ones with windows 10 installed & comes with remote keyboard & mouse .so the only room i'd need the firestick in would be the living room , right ? i can use the PC2go to get all the other stuff . i would imagine .

as you can tell , i'm new to this shit . i just recently got netflix & hulu , haven't even really dug into them yet to see what i can do .
you guys if you really want to help me , prepare for alot of stupid questions
but i greatly appreciate it .

working with dans on it...what device are you using Joe, windows? On the kodi.com site make sure your clicking the windows apk downloading the latest stable one Jarvis 15.0. For androids click the android ARM apk selection

make sure youre putting the "http://" in front like a full url....when adding sources to file manager

my biggest thing is once you down load Kodi , you can't get back to the video without having to exit kodi & have to start all over again lol
theres no way that i see to minimize the KODI screen so you can watch the vid
hope you have better luck than i am !!!

Try allowing unknown sources. That goes for any device I believe...you need to allow unknown sources.

I'm not rich like Dan lol. I have a 10 year old laptop. But I think I will pick up a fire stick. Darlin has been talking about the fire stick but I'm a skeptic and told her it was bogus. Guess I'll be eating crow soon :D

That's a good point Dan. Guess I'll find another use for this smart phone I didn't want in the first place

Fire stick I think would be good for your bedrooms maybe. I would get The Fire TV for your primary living room tv, only because it has usb ports so you can pop a wireless keyboard in and not have to type shit (url sources) with that small remote. Unless you have a usb port on your tv itself of course. I bought the logitech k400 wireless keyboard cheap on amazon, love it
