I have had good luck with Extech instruments....very reliable for the price. If my pH pen were to go out...probably would order the same one again.

I see bugman is busy as usual popping seeds....and the F91 looks good, how is the smell? Mine never made it that far

that F91 STINKS just like what i would think the real chem 91 would ,hell maybe better. i cant wait to smoke some.
i got 1 of those wedding cakes to root an 1 more may root.

With the coronavirus and the now, almost mandatory social distancing,,
a bad hand would lead to some serious frustration...

Last thing we need now, is people going Postal...

..

there's still plenty of porn on the shelves of the internet! and plenty of dp!

Can you get them to grow faster under 24/0? The slower desert transpiration may also be the limiting factor.

no,cactus have a different system, they store the sunlight until nighttime and then do their transpiration and photosynthesis at night...

even under ideal conditions they don't grow very fast...

plus peyote isn't something you take for fun...first off, you're gonna barf,it taste horrible, and you absolutely need someone to keep an eye on you during the experience...

the one time i did it we ended up miles out in the desert, luckily we had a navaho guide who took care of us...

A lot of desert plants have adapted to pull moisture from the air, too. So, maybe higher rH, instead trying to pull water through it using transpiration.

The other direction, an even lower rH, higher temps and airflow to get it to pull more from the roots to transpire at a higher rate. Co2 might help, and a small terrarium would be relatively easy to keep saturated. Has anyone tried hydro?

cactus are too broad a group to make blanket statements about, but in general overly wet roots will just kill them...but like i said, there's plenty of types that grow in rain forest and prickly pears have a vast range...i've seen them in canada for gods sake...you wouldn't expect to see cactus in canada...
