I think the problem with the rookie is hes more high than me. I could see that being a problem.

Teeg420 Im not sure what it would pull with that cut never grew it. 1/4 hp is correct and I think there around 26"-28" cant remember.

Greenthumb No problem the dudes a little old and forgets sometimes. Gotta just keep a closer eye thats all.

Nice to have ya apu
If ya wanna learn just watch the thread. I put most shit on here.
Today I visited them to make sure they got watered and they sure did. But what I did in case he forgets tomorrow is I added a little more vermiculite to the top 1/2 of bucket. Just to help keep em a little more moist.
I also added the add.27 to the UC. I went a little light. I added 2 cups to the 90 gallons in the rig.
These new clones havent even showed any signs of stress there just loving the shit. I hope to see some pretty good growth by next week once the roots blow up.

BG a question if i may ask?

When working out your nute sched are you working it out so that your only adding up as to what you have to put in the controller (13 gallons in the 9th bucket) or the whole system (104 gallons)?

Thanks for your help.

You have to figure it for the entire system. Its about 90 gallons( 10 gal each bucket) or a little more.

Now is just waiting game for the UC. Once we get more roots then theres no stoppin it.
I'll pop up some pics a couple days dont want to bore with little baby plants until they start to grow a little.

Ran into a little problem last Friday. Did some adjusting to the epicenter and cracked the bucket right at the uniseal. Kinda patched it up for the mean time. Contacted cch2o and the guys there are right on it. There sending me a entire new bucket and pvc system to swap out with my white demo buckets. I really got to say A+ for service. Ive never had service like this for anything. Good thing because I have the 2" pvc and there up grading me to the 3".
The plants are still progressing very slow in the UC. Mainly because I cant keep the water line high enough.
The coco hempys already won the contest against the original hempys by a long shot. Ill be swapping the regular ones to coco in the next few days.

I have a few pics Ill pop up later tonight.

Are you gonna run 4 plants per light with 13's? Website recommends 2 plants a light sounds crazy.

No mile high, I am referring to the UC XL13 and they recomemnd 2 plants per light on their website spaced at 28" centers.

The UC XL recommends 4 per a light with 25" centers look at the website, and yes have been reading up on these systems checked out ben derdundat and jacks they look as if they have potential.

I feel they are excellent for huge collective gardens where you want to get the most out of plant numbers. It seems that the vert guys are getting 1.75 to 2.5 depending on genetics.

They have there pro's and con's just like every method of gardening does its just a matter what system suits you best!

Sorry for clogging your thread BudGoggles.

I still want to play with one down the line.

Here ya go
Just upgraded to the 3" blue 13 gallon buckets. Thanks to cch2o for the complimentry unit.
These dudes are the shit over there. I had a bucket crack at the uniseal and BAM they send me a entire blue unit minus the pumps.
Heres some new pics
Nutes at 670 ppm ph 5.8 added a 1/2 a dose of zone and 1 cup of add.27

The old and new

The hempys

A little root porn

Notice the coco buckets are a little lighter than the perlite. I started adding calmag. I thought the tap water of 200 ppm would be enough but Im guessing not.
