....today was the first day i opened the garden and was smacked in face by odor.....
this is the left side of the canopy... 'yellow' in front, 'white' behind her, and 'red' in the back right.... that pile of leaf on the lower right is 'blue'...she smells fruity and yummy.... the other girls have a kinda 'medicine' almost menthol behind 'em...

when you wanna give super easy cloning a go let me know... more than happy to share how it works, headband... og kush and sour diesel... sounds spectacular.
if you know where he got them i would like to know... i have a pack of 'cheddarwurst', it's the UK cheese cut pollinated with the same spacedawg male as the 'cannabis' chemD cut... i like alpha's gear so far... 3 of my 4 girls are identical and the male looked the same as the 3. still have 5 beans.
... i've been collecting pollen all week...
... this weekend it's time for these girls to get busy, these pics are of 'red'...
i dig the trich production going on here...at 3 weeks and 5 days...
tomorrow or the next we chuck some pollen... that leaves 6 weeks for seed maturity and harvest at week 10.... that's all subject to change of course.

the girls each got a branch pollinated sun. night... which is mon. morning to them... it was a very enjoyable porn sess, took it nice and slow ... 70's porn style...and didn't let pollen get out of hand...
each seed branch has a colored collar which will stay on through drying and harvesting to keep track of which mother the beans are from...

yellow and white are the largest.... white has more, heavier trichomes and thicker looking buds (due to thicker pistils perhaps).... red is smaller in every way... leaves, buds, general size... but is the frostiest out of the crew..... just ahead of white, barely.... blue still has small buds, lots of 'em, all the way down the branches... lots of leaf, i'm starting to remove some of it.... she smells exactly like lemon candy... 'lemon drops'... i'm like a bee... can't keep my nose off her.... the other girls and the male all have a heavy petrol funk, with a citrus tone... and something kinda medicinal, menthol ... over all like huffing gas while eating mentholated, canned cat food....

'yellow'.... top of a side branch... she's the grower.
'red'.... extreme trich girl... smaller in size... has that fucking potent look.
'white'.... the grower with the trich's... think she's gonna be my keeper.... thicker bud's, heavier trich's....
speaking of trich's....
'white's clone... growing trich's in veg, she's never seen anything but 16/8.... another visual + to why she may be the one...
10 days after pollination.... monster seeds...
...seeded bud's sure are pretty.

white has red's trich's and yellow's vigor to a very slight, lesser extent... almost impossible to see. her clone is growing trich's in veg... continued to grow while rooting, and all of a sudden is the largest of 4 clones... won't decide till i smoke 'em... but she may be the one to advance to the next stage of pollen chucking.... Bx or f3, or both...not sure.
blue is still growing very different, her sugar leaves roll tightly on the edges, like joints.... and she smells like a lemon drop... yum
yellow... can see a z. of smoke on her now... in 5 weeks...
red... this girls buds look magical... she may move to the outdoor phase of the project in july.... she showed symptoms of 'wet feet', stopped watering twice, cured... she had a family of fungus gnats move in, from my vegy garden no doubt, some DE shut 'em down instantly ... my problem child i guess.
got over 2 decades under my belt gardening... this has so far been one of my favorite grows... i'm enjoying it very much.

jaam... welcome..... i'm very pleased with alpha's gear ... no wonder the world loves the chem genetics.... these girls are growers for sure.
you gonna post some pics....? would like to see yours come up... and see what you get for males....
HyNT... hybrid nutrient technique...
was turned on to this method of feeding, by board member pray4pistils, before his untimely disappearance in mid-april... i sure hope he's safe and all is well in his world.... once i get this dialed in i'll start a new HyNT thread, for him....
before pistils pointed me in the proper direction, i was feeding with botanicare's hydrogarden formula on weekdays, and with brewed organic tea's on weekends... pistils taught me to simply combine the two into a living, breathing, synthetic/organic hybrid nutrient solution, teaming with beneficial bacterial and fungal micro-organisms.... supplying the root zone with pre-digested, ready to consume nutrients, and fighting off harmful bacteria and disease....
at least this is the theory behind the HyNT and i must say...aside from 'red's minor problems, both very simply corrected, these girls are the epitome of health... no def. toxicity or lock out, no curling, burnt, dried or fried tips... nothing overly pale or dark... just growth from day to day...
vegatative stage...all measurements are per 1 gl.
tea.. brewed in r/o, ph 6.0
1 tsp. black strap molasses
1 tsp. liquid alaska fish fertilizer
1 cup earth worm castings
1 tsp. fox farm happy frog all purpose dry fertilizer
1 tsp. soil secrets earth ambrosia
1 tsp. soil secrets earth nectar
nutes.. mixed in aerated tap at 0.5 ec and ph 8.2
1 tsp PBP grow
1 tsp. liquid karma
1 tsp. aqua shield
tea is brewed over a 48 hour period... all ingredients are combined - the molasses, which is added around 24 hours...
tea and nutes were combined 1:2 for a total ec of 2.5... this was diluted to 1.0 ec and ph'd to 5.5-6.0. fed daily, drain to waste.
flower stage...
tea... brewed in r/o at 0. ec, ph 6.0

Gerneral Ill def get some pics to share with you... I got the Cannabis at Bbay... They are babies and all are about 6" tall right now... 4-Cannabis, 4-Purple Wreck, 2-Rez SourD, 3-Grimm Reaper (all from seed)

'red's top... she certainly responded well to the FIM...
'yellow's top... my UFO bud...
'blue's top... one of a kind amongst her siblings, at one time my favorite plant in the garden, soon after i was ready to blow her off... this uniqueness has earned her 1 of 2, 25 gl. containers out back with the vegy garden... in fact her clone has been out there for 3 days now in a 1 gl. container in roots organic707... i have 25gl. of sub's supersoil cooking for 2 weeks now... she'll re-pot once or twice than move into the 25gl. container, bottom 1/3 supersoil, top 2/3 roots707, to veg for july... than flower accordingly in august...
'white's top... was gonna go out with 'blue' but now i see she has bud flop... this is gonna make me think some more...

for about a week temps late in the light cycle were nearing the 90's... no problem as i shoot for a subtropical temp of 85... just glad things leveled off...84.2 now.
this was the last week of feeding at 2.0 ec... now they're feeding at 1.0 ec.... flush starts in 3 days.... 10 to 14 days i think
just scoped some trichs... big fukers, mostly clear... some clouds... 1 or 2 amber...
i like to take a couple pre-flush tester nuggets for contrast... as i try to dial in flushing. just cut the first... my first sample of something from the chem line coming up soon... judging from the smells and the grease smeared on my fingers... i think i'll be happy.
odors..... rotting flesh, a very strong cleaning product, lemon drops/lemon jolly ranchers... these seem to blend into a very pungent stench that first, instantly repulses my nose, then instantly pulls it back in for a second 'what the fuk is that....', the clones smell like cat piss...lol

this particular grow had a good 4 weeks of stunted growth if not more from my impatient ass feeding them too young...
5 weeks from seed ,and 10" is where i like to flip and transplant at... thats the size of these plants in that pic...at 10 weeks or something ridiculous like that...
my veg/clone box is minimal at 78w from 3 twisty 6500K cfl's and runs 16/8... vegging plants get several hours a day of high desert sun as well... unless they're growing too fast... my current situation.

i started this thread with my droid camera.. was doing ok but couldn't get anything close up... i tried the macro function on every camera at best buy i half way liked...this little sony exmore10.2megapixel slapped 'em all... was a bit pricey but my laptop is a sony and i love it...
as far as lighting... i've tried shooting in the dark with the flash to get the true colors of the plant but hate it.... i don't function well in the dark and need to see what i'm shooting...i don't get the true colors of the plant but the HPS and LED light blend make for some pretty cool pics anyways...
here's some i just took of the pre-flush test nugget i chopped at midnight/lights on... the real colors of the bud are fuking outrageous....
i get these gnarley white fraggle head crystaline entity nugget tops on the LED side of my closet... perhaps the LED/HPS combo is a bit much... blows out the chlorophyll somehow...
the fraggle heads go exponential with their trich count and are by far the most potent smokey treats out of the closet... perhaps i'll call 'em fluffy bunnies....

if jolly rancher had the flavor putrid or lemon rotting flesh .... this bud is what it would smell like....
