They are Golden Tree beans. Here is his description of the Jack : The Jack Herer Mom is an 11 year old Mom from Sensi Seeds.

OPC X JACK with the Jack mom being from Sensi Seeds should be great.
I have a question for Canadian growers or any growers who have grown Jordan of the Islands offerings, has anyone grown his Lemon Skunk? That one really interests me.

In the, watched pot never boils, stage with the OPC'S. I go into the room every day and inspect them but the changes are usually minor. It's a waiting game and trying to determine the harvest time is speculation. Sunday is the end of week 12 and none of them are ready at this point. A couple or maybe just one of them, may be done at the end of week 13. When the others will be done is anyone's guess.
I will try sampling a little of the different Congo's and the Headband at different stages of curing and report on those. The OPC'S will just keep us waiting.

Back to the Congo #3 is, based on descriptions I've read about it because I've never smoked it, Congo weed. Musicians supposedly love Congo weed. It makes me want to listen to music.
I can get into it. I can close my eyes, listen and get lost in the music. I forget everything else, except when a train rolls by and the conductor blairs that horn 5 times in about 30 seconds, like he did just now. I can hear it clearly because the tracks run along the Cowlitz River here in Western Washington. I don't live very far from the river on the opposide side from the tracks.
The sound from the trains' horn carries clearly over the river and it sounds like it is much closer than it actually is. When the horns start, I mute the music and listen as the train cars roll down the track. It takes a long time for that sound to fade away.
It's late at night and it's very quiet until the trains' horn pierces through that late night silence. Alerting everyone that it is coming. Then comes that engine sound, powerful, authoritative. It says, I'm hauling a million tons, I'm not going to stop for anything, so get out of my way.
After that it's the rocking, rolling, lumbering sounds of the cars. You call always hear, on top of everything else, that chugging sound of the engine pulling that huge line of cars that seem to go forever. :smokey:

That actually sounds pretty cool. When I was still a kid, we stayed quite close to the railway lines. I used to fall asleep to that sound.

Blaze the sound of those train cars rolling down the tracks in the distance is soothing and calming. It's far enough away from me that I can enjoy it. If I lived on the other side of the river and much closer to the tracks, I'd probably hate it because it would be so loud.
I have found memories of a train ride I took when I was a kid. The Boy's Club I went to almost every day of the week, was offering a train ride to any kid who wanted to go, on an old steam train. It was a night time trip and I went. I remember standing on the the back deck of the caboose by myself, looking out over the tracks as we rolled along in the night and loving that experience.

What kind of surprises me at this point is how little water the OPC'S are drinking. At some points in flower I was watering them every day and I felt that I probably should have watered a couple of them twice a day. A couple of them would be completely dry the next morning when I checked them. Now, it's been three days and they still aren't dry.

Smoking the Back to the Congo #3 and you immediately notice it's potent. Richard Williams gives you more than money's worth with the Back to the Congo.
I had three phenos and you get three unique experiences. You don't have to grow out three different strains to get three different experiences; grow the Congo. #1 is the most common and an all rounder. There is something for everyone. #2 is the Deep Chunk pheno, it's already amazing and I can't wait to experience the finished product. The #3 is potent and I think it would also have universal appeal. They aren't even cured at this point.
The Back to the Congo by Richard William's is a bargain.:peacock:

Harvested 2 of the OPC'S this morning. I've been debating over these two for about a week. There are plenty of milky trichomes and everything about them told me they were done. They really weren't drinking any water, the colors were right and I am getting to the point where I'm starting to be concerned with mold. There was one bud, on one plant, that had mold.
It's a real high humidity time of year in the Northwest of the USA and if a plant is sitting in a wet pot, not drinking and I find some mold this time of year, especially after 12 full weeks of flower, it's coming down. My room also doesn't have good climate control being in a garage. It's been getting down to the low 40's F. at night so my room gets down to the upper 50's. When you have a cool, wet climate during lights out and you have big dense buds, you have a recipe for mold. I have fans blowing 24/7 but that isn't a total mold preventative.
The others are real close too, except one looks like it has a couple of weeks. I'm going to be inspecting all the buds very carefully for mold and if I see any, they are coming down. The valuable lesson I learned here is that if I want to grow long flowering sativas I need to plan to have them finish in late August. July and August we get almost zero rain and humidity is very low. I can't control humidity in my grow space so I have to work with what I have.
When I consider all of my conditions this time of year, I will be inspecting my remaining plants this week and I will be taking them down, at the latest, next Sunday. Better to have a lot of great dope, maybe not finished ideally, than to waste some great dope to mold trying to be idealistic.

Smoke Report 2 week cured BTTC Deep Chunk Pheno

Smoke Report 2 week cured BTTC Deep Chunk Pheno

Your know pot is good when you can watch an old TJ Hooker episode and have a lot of fun watching it. The William Shatner forced acting and permed hair do, Heather Locklear and James Darren wearing those Las Vegas lounge act, crooner suits as a police detective, he also wore a purple leather jacket in another scene:dancer:; it's pure stoner gold. Dennis Franz is the bad guy in this episode as an opened shirt, multi gold chain wearing, thug involved in the porno trade and a little murder too. The period clothes and hairstyles. Sweet!
From a light hearted time of my life, it brings back the feeling of that time and it's so bad and good at the same time. Awesome. Did I mention the period soundtrack. Over produced, drum machines, the works! Awesome. Oh that perm!:dance013:

The last scene is shot on a porno movie set where Shatner has a shootout with Dennis Franz' muscle. That perm stays solid through it all. I couldn't make this stuff up. So bad it's good.

Blaze it is funny when you watch something you thought was terrible at the time it came out but now you can watch it with a special buzz on and realize what a diamond in the rough it is.
It goes to show you that you shouldn't throw out the baby with the bath water. Sometimes bad is bad and sometimes bad is good. Especially when you see it through new eyes. Marijuana is great in that it can help you see and appreciate things from a new perspective and find joy where there once was none.

This is all I used this grow. The only reason I used the Dyna Gro products, besides the fact that I like them, is that it was the first time I've used this particular organic fertilizer and I didn't use enough. The Back to the Congo and the Headband were fine but the OPC'S started running out of gas in the second week of flower. The first two feeding on the OPC'S I used a teaspoon of the Foliage Pro per gallon of water and after that I used 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. Starting week five I used a half teaspoon of the Bloom per gallon and stopped using the Foliage Pro. A very low dose.

Never had the opportunity to smoke any Headband so I don't know if the HSO 707 Headband is anything like the original. But this one seems mighty fine to me. Maybe 14 days cure.
I know I like it a lot but it's late and I'm really beat. I'd like to do a 10am session with it when I'm rested. Seems pretty energetic, may keep me up. As it is right now I'd recommend you grow it. HSO has proved themselves to me with this strain. I wouldn't have any hesitation trying one of their other offerings. With a 30 day cure I'll know more.

There's a real, HEAD, aspect to the high of the HSO Headband. Very relaxing, soothing, calming and very buzzed. Very nice!
