Anyone Play Poker?

Well that’s just a general tip that everyone can use. When playing a really good player you have to change gears constantly and be able to be very aggressive. Great players know when to put the pressure on the other person and have them make a decision. The only way to beat a good aggressive player is to fight fire with fire. although you may want to change it up and slow play big hands also but generally you want to bet out and have the person always guessing if your bluffing or not because most of the time especially in heads up both of you will have absolutely nothing and who ever pushes the hardest will get what’s in the middle.

Totally agreed, some good advice there. As for all you people whom have played online for $, I wouldn't advise it as during my career in computer/network security I have yet to see a legit site that pays out when the player wins.

really slick? i wouldnt know cause i dont play online to much. but i would think that they do pay out since they are making tons of money. in cash games on party poker they take a certain percent of each pot so the bigger the pot the more money thay make. and theres alot of tournaments online like sit n go tourneys and qualifiers and satelite tourneys. i would think that they all pay out to the winners.

I've never looked at party poker but seeing as how they do legal advertising I agree they probably do pay out. That being said be cautious because for that 1 that pays their are hundreds that don't.

Well you have to remember that technically online gambling isn't legal. So in theory they don't really have to pay you, or at least if they don't there isn't anything you can do legally.

Who likes Poker?

Hey guys and gals

Just wondering if any of you enjoy poker like i do? If so, are you a home-game player, a weekly mooselodge player, a vegas/atlantic city gambler, or an online player?

I personally play online, FullTilt and Bodog are pretty sweet. I played at the local mooselodge a couple of times, but got my ass handed to me by war veterans. I also played at a greyhound racing track while i was vacationing in florida, and raked in a lot of money :) I've been trying to start up a weekly tournament, but i hang out with broke-asses.

Who else?

I never played, and then my friends invited me to a game and taught me. Pretty easy to learn. I started raking it in, i would clean up pretty quick.
It was always friday night, drink, play poker, and then hit a club and find some ladies.

Just I found my pals would get all emotional after I took their money. They had no problems taunting me and taking mine. I just gave up on it..
It was alright until emotions came into play. lol

BTW, I'm an online and small social playa. PartyPoker for the past few years, now switching to PokerStars.

Also....
"1. Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 60 seconds." ...

is some bullshit!

I play the 1 dollar tables at pokerstars, occasionally play for higher stakes in real life, but nothing spectacular. I'm trying to build up a poker pot to go into the higher stakes, so far my balance is positive but in no way enough to start rolling with the big guys, also would like to get better at the game first.

I, personally, pull my hair out from online poker at times.

It is so much un, but there are just so many ass-hats on there.... i cannot hang.

I do enjoy a nice home game though. Texas hold 'em, no limit, sometimes cash game, sometimes tourament.

Always stoney.

in my limited experience in person to person playing, i've learned that i have too many "tells" ... i really have to work on my pokerface before hittin the casinos.

I love playing in the comfort of my own home, listening to music or watching tv, and kicking ass :) i feel out of place at casinos and lodges.

Fulltilt here, I enjoy playing large tournaments sometimes, mostly Texas - no limit hold'em. I haven't won any huge sums of money yet, but I haven't lost anything either yet.

Poker? I hardly even knew her! I'll play with the boys every once in a while, for a goofus. Occasionally, I like to make it interesting, and not look at my hand. You'd be surprised how much better you get at reading people.

yeah I play a lot of poker, at poker stars, only small stakes and tourneys though. So many people just bluffing on every hand though it gets tiresome at times. Thought about a mini game in chat sometimes, but couldnt get enough people interested. You'd also need someone willing to sit out each week and be the dealer.

I dig it the most.......
not too tough to tell who I am at the table & of course the reason I took this screen shot was the 'pot amount,' I always sit with 420 points to start at each table.
