holla all T5 growers, I have a Q for ya.
a bro just gave me a 4ft 4 tube T5 but the clown cut the cable 6"from the unit.
So it needs to have a new plug fitted. Also there is no on.off switch
(would that be on the cable? or not needed?)
One problem, there are 4 wire's in the flex on the T5, brown,blue,green/yellow and Black? Not usually a black?
How do i wire that? whats the 4 th wire for ? a switch?

Sounds like a Property Room special.

Cops probably cut the cord..cops love to destroy stuff.

I've never used more than 3 gal nursery pots.... other than 5gal Homer buckets for DWC... and I only did that for one run.

Just completed a DWC run under the 'Big Bulb' in the sky in a converted GH (sorta converted) tin shed. I cheated just a little by plumbing the buckets together with a 5th bucket for a reservoir. I didn't recirculate the water, just ran an airstone in each bucket to keep them from going Anerobic. The Res was plumbed to a swamp cooler float valve to keep the water levels constant, and was able to feed the four plants separately that way.

If I do DWC again I will use the 'connected' method inside as well.

The 3 gal nursery pots do get very root bound by cut time.

P,S. $.33 a KWH? That's highway robbery! Time to go Solar I'm thinking. Where the heck are you anyway? I thought $.16 per kwh was high, up here in the mountains. DAM!!!!! Paying $.08 in Denver for penalty use.

I also use the 432 watt T5s. Normally two plants under one light 3 gal each, and flat-topped.

Denver is that way too. .o65 or so is 'base', over a certain amount it goes to .08??.....

At my summer place in Chaffee County, the charge is .16, no matter how much. lol And they generate their own by hydro in the upper Ark River Valley.
