Neat, I'll have to run a pack next year.

Where's the thread with the digi pics? was it a green BB?

There are pics of the Digi mom in this thread...some where near the beginning of it, maybe.

Flowers are green - leaves take the old school true to type classic purple, yellow, magenta, red, pink...that you'd see on the old blueberry.

Here's a patch of a Digi Bx1 female that I ran for a bit:

It's crazy how much I miss smoking and growing these plants...truly some of the best cannabis on the face of the planet.

Crack some f2's brother! There are keepers to be found. You might not find "the digi", but probably a lot of the traits you miss.

I've got some Bx1 left and some Bx2 that are yet to be sorted. I've not gotten any of VG's outcrossed F2 yet. I've also got some Bx1 Ix1 off the above female and the same Bx1 male used in VG's outcross...

I'm not growing at the moment...that's the main reason...

When I'm able to grow again - blueberry is the first thing that comes out of the vault for certain.

Great stuff as always Frank.
My Digi is finishing fast. Found a bit of mold trying to take hold today the days don't get warm enough and aren't long enough to evaporate all the moisture deep in near the stem. I see it also as a sign it's almost finished. If it was seeded the mold would rot the mature seeds out so they could fall on the ground or be consumed by animals. Wouldn't call it mold suceptable. I think it's 5-10 days away. No way I can let it go as long as your purple greenhouse run.

It's developing a kind of resin gland I really like looks like round droplets of water.
The smells are interesting. The one I don't like is a Devil's Club, stinging nettle, herbaceous forest plant type smell. Kind of musty. I've smelled it before in F2s of a couple purple strains I really liked. They were all green phenos of a purple strain. All it means is I'd select a different plant for a mother for an indoor grow. I enjoy some variation that's why I like F2s. There's other good smells in there too no blueberry yet though.

nice one revv, it does look quite ripe now. often outdoors there is a balance between avoiding mould and getting to the stage of perfect ripeness.. as im sure you know.

keep us posted and let us know how she smokes :)

Here's a little update on the three Bluedigiberry girls I have going atm.
All are showing color, one just getting color in the last week or so. Mostly seems to be the fans that are coloring, buds still look green. Temps are High around 78-82 during lights on, and around 70-72 lights off. Am seeing color in some of the other strains that are in flower with these as well.

BDB #2 @ 51 days:

Wonderful candied berry/grape? smell, really enticing. Color not as pronounced in this phenol, but it is darker now than when these pics were taken (about 5 days ago).

This one has more of a sativa look to it, assume that comes from VG's BB mom. She has also been the foxtail queen of the group. Did I mention I love her aroma.

This one really has the blueberry muffin smell. The hairs on the tops of browned off very early, so much so that I was worried the one hermie I had from these had gotten to her as it was right beside her in the tent. Now, I am pretty sure it was from a fan blowing on the tops constantly. Moved the fan and all has been cool since.

dank.frank, what do you think about this pheno? She looks a lot like the picture of the Digi Bx1 female you posted a page of so back.

This last girl is a bit of a mix of the other two. She has a more musky berry smell to her. She colored up pretty well, also.

I think the buds on this one may purple up a bit by the time she is ready to come down.

Very nice AmberTrich - those plants are lovely!!! The more Digi influenced the quicker they should finish in a generic sense...VG mom flowers much longer than the 53-60 day max on the Digi.

Go easy on the nutes on that second pheno - you see her clawing, yes. I do know the Digi is very sensitive to being overfed - and can toss nanners when pushed too hard...but is perfectly stable when in her sweet spot...just something to keep in mind.

But yeah, those plants look absolutely great! :respect: Just amazing...actually. Blueberry like this hasn't been seen for many, many years.

I hope they smoke as amazing as they look! Can't wait for your smoke report.

Nice to see different growers with the BDB. It's very difficult to get BB strains with true BB smell/taste outdoors rev. Lookin good though.

Every one that has run these f2s is finding plants that have the true blueberry muffin smell...

It was locked in that Digi Bx1 male - he bred fairly true for the terpene profile...

That's coming out very clearly in these F2s - and considering how an F2 opens up a gene pool so widely...it's very telling how consistent the male really bred - and really how true a blueberry the Digi line really is. Given the cut is from the mid 80's - there's nothing watered down about this line...

It's why it made a great pairing for VG to utilize and offer everyone something that was long lost...these seeds make it easy to find that true blueberry experience again.

dank.Frank

Two out of 4 had a strong blueberry smell for me with the two most indica leaning having the smell. Ill show off those plants in a month or so when those clones are well into flowering. Wish i could of got one of those breeding packs, we better make sure there is an f3. What I like most about the bluedigi is the possibility of the bud density of an indica while none of the plants I experienced had any evidence of an indica affect. The colors are nice to look at too on some.

That to me is what's great about the Digi in general - it's a quick flowering plant - but has so much thai influence to her. It really is a win / win. VG was concerned originally about losing the special sativa high that his blueberry mom carried by bringing in such a early finishing plant...and I told him no fear at all there...

Glad these plants haven't made a liar out of me....hahahaha. ;)

Can't wait to see your ladies redneck.

Love seeing all these phenos! Makes me want to grab another pack to look for more gems.

Ambertrich - yours all look beautiful! Wish I could get my temps down enough to get those pretty colors. Even in the 70-80f range,I get some purple. I think mine would look nice in cooler temps.

I hope someone makes good use of those breeder packs. There is some special potential locked away in these seeds.
