nice..... how long are you vegging for on average? also are you topping your vert plants?

on my current grow i'm running gg4 and stardawg......... i'm topping for 4-6 main tops...... with 4-6 veg......... hoping i can hit atleast 4 oz per plant.....

feeding 1.2 -1.3 ec has these plants growing about a inch per day... :) low feeds ftw.....
I veg for 4-6 weeks total. I try not to veg them in the flower rooms unless absolutely necessary.
I did not top my vert plants this run, to allow them to get as tall as possible. I have in the past, and will in the future, but as always, it's strain dependent...
4 oz per plant, per 600w is totally doable.

I don't have valid vert vs horiz data yet. I got as much as 1.2 GPW at the last site. There are 2 horizontal lights of each strain, and one stack of 600s to compare against.
Is there a reason you are running a second level of plants vs trees? Too many "moving parts" for my liking. When I get the green light to completely conVert, I will be doing 2# trees in an XO pattern.

Arm
I'm doing 2 levels because I live in a good for saken desert. With a limited electrical capacity, so I have about 6 months a year to run with no AC needed. So in order to get 2 crops a year I can only veg 2-3 weeks max. Thus I run more plants. I ran 24 5 ft plants 2 circles 1k each and got just over 3.5 # twice last season but the second round wasn't as good because the heat started to pick up the last couple weeks.

I am looking In to a dual stage evap cooler that might work for me. Only pulls 10 amps does the job of a 3 ton AC. And it doesn't raise rh past 55-65. Which is good since I live In a dry climate. 2400 was not in the budget this year. And my portable could not keep up. And cost a small fortune to run. Mabey next year. Hopefully if all goes as planned I can be In a commercial space with commercial elec rates next year.

You looking for a portable one to put inside the room?

I haven't found any 2- stage portables. mastercool makes one runs 2400 uses less than 10 amps. made to replacea 3 ton residential ac unit. I could get my ac buddy to duct it to a veg and flower room. holding out on major purchases until we finish our paperwork and find a commercial property with commercial power rates looking start the new year with a big bang.

I was gonna say.. You're inviting the nastys if you hang the swamper out the window, and blow the cool air directly into your room. Motiv uses a swamp cooler in his lung room, then hepa filters to pull and filter the cool air into his main.

Jesus Arm, you've got some balls flipping those ladies so bare. That Tahoe looks tall but man would I be scared.

I think maybe i just need to get some bigger balls and stip more off of them, my yeilds and screen coverage have improved but the nug size has also decreased. I also think having my environment dialed + co2 would help me get more mass during stretch, soon i will know.

Decisions decisions... Ive got another round Im about to flip, maybe ill strip half the tray and let the other half bush up and compare nugs at the end.

Looking good as always brotha!

dabs, I wouldn't use a swamp, cooler. a dual stage evap. is essentially a heat exchanger surrounding swamp. humidity stays under 65 percent rh. i'm currently in a rental so probably won't use one until I move to a commercial space.

For the record, The vert plants have vegged untouched. The only pruning I did was on the horizontal plants, and it was topped once, and the suckers removed.

Must either be that lanky growth from the t5's or the strain, either way I'm pulling for ya!

The Tahoe cut I have is a very vigorous strain. She is leggy, but very sturdy, and she fills in big time.
This was from my first run with her. They were smaller plants, but just as leggy when put into flower.

OGHC almost full screen. Just a couple more wraps, and will let them shoot for the light.

Alpha Day 49

Alpha Day 49

I mistimed the training, and my canopy was everywhere. I slid the second net onto them, and pulled the tall ones over with paper clips. I then lowered the lights, and cranked them up to 1k for the last 3 weeks. They may not swell as much as I would like, but the sheer number of bud sites will offset that.

That tahoe doe.

Loving the vert setups.. Distance between the bulbs and the screens? 600's?

How is the horizontal yielding. That is definately cleaner than vert IMO.

The distance from the back of the screen to the center of the bulb is 26". With 600s I have gotten buds as close as 6" from the bulb with no burn.
If my vert canopy fills in, then its not comparable to the horizontal. 16 sf per light flat, vs 40+ sf per vert stack...
