There are people who I am sure are in favor of the extermination of entire races, whether that be Jewish or Palestinians or whoever. Violence only begets more violence. Once those responsible pay a hefty price financially and legally, as they should, and once justice prevails and a sensible state put in the place of a barbarous religious fanatical one (that applies to both parties), peace will prevail and people can start to respect each other as humans again!

I thought you were more sensible than this! How many people has Israel killed in 60 plus years vs the opposition? Who has brutalized the other's infrastructure more? Anyone with any intelligence cannot say the ends justify the means and that this is right! It is far from right and those responsible for the deaths should be punished as the war criminals they are! Punishing an entire group of people for a few is never right, and punishing the people for voting for a freely elected govt they don't approve of is also not right. And as the government, they don't have the right to a military like every other country has, and the right to defend themselves and fight occupation? This is why peace is the only answer, but true peace can only happen if crimes against humanity are addressed and dealt with. This is all that can be said, all that matters.

sure, peace is possible, in fact, many Muslims and Jews in Israel are good friends with each other and live respectfully next to each other on a daily basis out here. so it is already a fact on a small scale.

See, this is what I am talking about Bom..! I admit at times when enraged about this I had crazy thoughts, and I am not involved with this conflict. So you can imagine how much more intense those feelings are for those who live in these combat areas. I may feel rage for a few seconds, but then I realize that and the feelings it spawns will never solve anything and what is needed is peace.
I did not agree with all you said, in fact very little, but we are talking and learning to respect each other and each other's viewpoints. That is what is needed over there too.
