Ya, they are easily broken.
However, a google & youtube search only brings back info of Albert Bell, Reggie Sanders and Jim Rice to have broken a bat on a check swing.
Atleast to the point where it actually shatters in their hands and someone writes a piece about it or puts the video on youtube.
The announcers of the game had actually thought Bo Jackson was the only player know to have done it before, but apparently not.
But, with Puig he probably doesn't even check his bats to see if they are cracked during an AB

well it gives me some hope.......

Her husband probably disagrees with you

(According to her facebook she is very married)

Brewers fans. Meh.

.........

MAN! What horrific series the cards have going in Baltimore. At one point last night it was 12 - 0. Then another dumper today. Just terrible.

GO ORIOLES!

Ickis lives!

I don't see how the Yankees win with those unknown pitchers and that line-up. The Orioles are taking control.

The Cardinals needed hitting not pitching. They made a bad move trading for a pitcher and not a hitter.

After Sunday's game against the Cardinals the Yankees come to Camden Yard. It is a do or die series for the Yankees. It is time for Baltimore to end the Yankees' hope of winning the AL EAST.

There is no other team that has 1-6 hitters that give you a chance to win everyday. Plus two good bats off the bench like Pearce and Young.

The Brewers have 1-5 hitters that give them a chance but that isn't like the O's 1-6 plus two.

The O's lead the majors in homers and have the best defense by far. Without their gold glove catcher they still have 5 gold glovers.

Cards have plenty of people that can hit. They just haven't been hitting this season. That's been the story all year.

But Cards have 3 pitchers on the DL so I'm glad we picked up a guy like Lackey who has 2 rings and 16 post season starts. Plus they only have to pay him 500K next year. Now if he can just get it together and not stink up the place like he did in Baltimore this weekend. I think he only gave up 9 runs.

The Card's front office usually knows what they are doing though.

Yes, I remember Jim Rice doing it. However, Bo Jackson took a bat that he had just struck out with, and snapped it over his knee like a toothpick.

Milton Bradley did it too:

There are a bunch more of these on You Tube, including Bo Jackson throwing out a guy at first base from the outfield, and an incredible throw to home plate to get the runner.

Grew up watching Bo, thinking he wasn't even human!
That was the nastiest football injury Ive ever seen... I think they try and protect kids from having to watch shit like that on TV nowadays...

Now Machado is hurt along with Hardy. Add in Wieters and there is 3 gold gloves and 3 all stars out. There was still an 11-3 victory over the Yankees. Plus a Toronto loss to KING FELIX.

You YANKEE fans have 27 titles you can withstand a few down years.

GO ORIOLES!

I feel the total opposite....we have the best announcers in MLB, Kruk and kuip are the best!! They are funny and have lots of baseball knowledge. Having to listen to other announcers when it's on a network channel is pure torture!! Of course they love the Giants, that's how all the announces are, they love their team...I wouldn't like it if they dogged on the team. Do the A's announcers bash their team? Doubt it

hey Mrs B...I think the Jointed One does have a point. Not necessarily to the degree of brown-nosing (lol) but-

From where I sit in the cheap seats, when things are going well as was the case for the G-men in the first half, there is no need for nit-picking, arm chair managing or trying to second guess ownership or manager strategies. Hey, we're f'n winning, right?

But damn, fast forward to today and something(s) is terribly wrong in G-town. If you go to the CSN Bay Area website and read the fan comments below any of Baggarly's articles, by in large, fans are frustrated to the point of being pissed. There are calls for management heads to be placed on sticks, some have gone to a point of suggesting a ballpark boycott because of, in their words; the shameful and embarrassing product now being put on the field -You can fool fans for only so long...

One poster posed the question: Why should I pay MLB priced tickets to watch a Double A ball game? He is referring to all the rookies being played. These days, its usually 2-3 at the same time, during the same game which equals 1/3 of the line-up. I mean, what is that? How a major league team who has won 2 world series in 4 years has gotten to this point is truly, sucks-ville...

Things are indeed quite the mess in G-town. The Scutaro return was a bust which should have been seen coming. Pagan coming back was the next big build up only to be not much. Not sure what the Uggla thing was all about other than an insult to fans. Peavy- what? More insult. Timmy- I could just throttle him right now-lol. Belt- How many fingers am I holding up...? And the management didnt see the Matt Cain thing coming? Theyve known about his bone chips for several years...I could go on but the bottom line is; The G-management is running out of carrots to feed the fans and Gerry Garcia nite is only good for one carrot.

Where I agree with Jointed One is, I too am getting a bit miffed at Kruk n Kuip. I understand their employer is the SF Giants and that "dogging" isnt tolerated but these 2 guys see what is happening. They are enduring, along with us fans, the misery of what seems to have gotten to be almost every game. I know they are wondering the same things the fans are- What is management doing? What is Boche thinking? ETC. I think they owe it to the fans, with management OK of course, to at least acknowledge what the fans already know- There are people in high G-places directly responsible for the current G-team state of affairs. Right now, I'd like to hear a little of that instead of them hawking tickets for Jerry Garcia nite or trying to sell me Candlestick seats...

And I know, right now, K & K are thinking the same thing devoted fans are - We are really in big trouble right now. They just cant say it...on the air. CC

Oh, and RIP Robin Williams, a truly dedicated G fan...

I hear ya cowboy...I am not happy with the team right now either BUT as a true fan I'm not going to second guess the Giants management, I'm sure they are going thru some shit trying to get the team to be better, hindsight is 20/20 and easy for us to sideline coach. Sure the team is struggling but that's not unusual, hopefully they can rally in the last month or so but injuries are part of the game, lots of good players out right now, mccutchen, tulo a few others...

Krupp and kuip are not there to dog on the upper management they are there to call the game and tell us great stories....that's for the sports writers and fans to do hehehe

The Giants are having a tough time and it only takes a small spark to change it!! I guess I'm just an optimist..... *shrug*

GO GIANTS!!

pinch me, did we actually win one???

Yup. Jeter won it. Mr. Clutch. And Baltimore lost two straight. I have lost 3 times this season betting on Felix Hernandez. Every time I bet him, he loses. Baltimore will have to go into a big slump for Yanks to have any chance @ playoffs. Would like to see Jeter get one more chance, but, when Tanaka got hurt, that cost us at least 7 more wins so far. Not to mention CC & Nova. They've been doing it with smoke and mirrors. If Tanaka did not go down, Yanks could beat anyone in 7 game series, with Tanaka starting 3 games. But, if "ifs" & "buts" were gifts & nuts, every day would be Christmas.

Except the Orioles. He is 0-2 against Baltimore so if the Yankees wheeled him out there they would most likely be swept. Baltimore is 2-0 against King Felix too. Baltimore has a chance against anyone.

You haven't had a Yankee post in a minute, One win and a couple injured Orioles' losses and BAM you are back.

I must have missed your posts about the Yankee/Orioles series.

I can't believe how the Orioles got hosed giving Jeminez that big 5 YEAR contract. WTF!

The Yankees would be a complete waste of a playoff spot. Jeter as good as he was can't field, barely hits .270 and has minimal, and I mean minimal, power.

They are not making the playoffs. It just isn't happening. Look closely at their line-up. There is nothing there.

I guess 210 million dollar roster just wasn't enough. O's are slumming at 130 million next to them.

The Yanks will probably steal Markakis this off season. He will be a Roy White/Paul O'neil for them. I hope Baltimore retains him but I have a bad feeling. They will probably steal Weiters too. @#@##$#@
