homemade Pepper Spray....LOL careful of the bears tho' up here....I think that would just piss them off!

~Sunny D~ still no word from Billy????

I've wondered who in the heck was the one with enough balls to put bear deterrent sprays in actual prac app. In AZ we're only allowed to carry bear mace during archery season....along with the bow ofcourse. I'm just thinking though that even a full grown black bear is gonna cover some serious distance if it decided to charge....and mace aint gonna throw one off if its pissed enough. Imagine a Kodiak coming at ya...a can of mace ain't exactly the comfort I hope to have, lol.

I still carry my side arm just in case.

I remember seeing the first video. Might not have been the same one but I remember the suit and him takin a beating in it. The part where he gets whacked with the bat to the head is just funny as heck!

Hell yah!

Got a shit load of new stuff to run.
Here's the plan:
5 reg Dark star
1 fem sage n sour
5 reg grapestomper x OG
2 fem kosher kush
2 fem Gobsmack(Goblin Girl S-1 x Gorilla Glue #4)
2 fem Gorilla glue #4 S-1's
2 fem Pariah (Goblin Girl x Dionysus 'HJ cut')
2 fem SG-OG (Nocturnal x OG Kush)
2 fem Goblin God (Goblin Girl x Afgooey)

Halloween is my 37th anniversary of joining the Coast Guard.
Always a day for new things.

How did the cup go, You and G do any good?

OK, we are on then. :woohoo:I might pop a few days early though. I shut down the grow at my house because the wife asked me to. My son is getting at that age that he is starting to catch on to things.

So I am in the process of building a new room at a different place.
Only going to go with about 2k in the new room, between that and the big room should do just fine.

My list is going to be
5 reg Grape stomper OG
5 reg Grape Stomper
5 reg Dark Daddy Purps ( Dark Goblin x GDP )
5 Purple Headband's

37 year anniversary from joining the Cost Guard, man you are old.:bigeye: My B day is on the 30th so I will pop a few on that day for sure.

The cup was great and we did get a top 10 with Sugar Bear.
The thing that sucks is that when we found out about the cup we didn't have time to get ready. We only had a enough time to flower out what we had going at the time, and that was almost not enough time. The Sugar Bear come off the drying rack the day before turn in, not even a cure on it.

It was a good representation of IRG gear but was not our best work by far. Next year we will be ready for sure.

Yah I'm old, but with my new knee, I'm gonna outwork all you young bucks and Does

Entries need to be turned in 1 month prior to judging.
Gotta harvest a month prior to that for the cure.
You'll be ready next time fo sho.

I can't imagine ANYTHING slowing down a Kodiak...except maybe a Nuke....LOL I chased another Black Bear away from the house the other day....fired a couple rounds off before he decided to take off....this one had been tagged twice in each ear...but I'm in HIS territory, not the other way around....

~Sundance~ You should see all the turkeys & elk moving thru here right now....with the rains, they move down....Anybody want to HUNT?? Bow only, no noise....LOL

EDIT:: I was thinking about getting a new left knee too....but I'm old also! LOL Did you do a full replacement, SG? I remember when you did it, but didn't pay attention to all the details.....

I had a full replacement.
It's been nearly 4 months now.
I can do everything I used to do.
I can carry buckets of water, walk my doggie, ride a bike, ride my 4 wheeler.
I'm getting back into shape and have already lost 20lbs in last 5 months.
Started at 247 lbs now 226, and my goal by new years is 210.
The new knee has given me a life again.
I work harder with less pain, weird huh?

I say go for yours this winter, and don't let the DR deny you.
My doc tried getting me to wait.
I told him I have 12 yrs to get medicare, I have to make a living in the mean time, and I need to walk to do it.

That sounds EXACTLY like somewhere I'd like to visit. I've been drawn for elk twice....once for archery. Didn't get jack either time, hahaha! I love watching them though. Seeing a herd bull is really majestic!!

Congrats on the weight loss SG! That's awesome to hear that you're back up and around full on too. Must feel pretty good to have that confidence again.

Dummy....It's been 30+ yrs ago when this SoCal Beach Baby
moved to the Colorado Mountains....I didn't know shit! LOL
I didn't know how to live in the cold & snow, drive in it, live with
the animals...nothing. I learned real quick how things are up here...
City woman goes Mountain Woman! LOL And I was up here all by my lonesome too...my dog & me...
Wow, seems like a lifetime ago...Anyhow, my first fall up here on this mountain I hear something like it is dying & go to investigate...
I take off UP the mountain....trippin' thru the trees & thinking how COOL this life was gonna be (I was 24 y/o & on an adventure....HA!)...
I keep walking up & come to a clearing, when I see this (as you put it Majestic Elk) standing there YELLING (not dying, oh no-no-no LOL) but in full Rut...
I see him, he sees me & the chase is on! I'm not chasing him, he's chasing me! LMFAO!!
Lucky for me I had a dog (Levi) that kept him from running my ass down, but I learned my lesson & never went out to see if I could help a dying animal...
I just let Mother Nature take her victims & smile...I'm very blessed! LOL
& my Kids were raised up here...They knew what animal predators were way long before they were ever subjected to the human kind....they hated it! LOL
Kept telling me there was nothing to do up here & it took them until their 20's to appreciate it...
now I can't get rid of them! We all live here, including my 83 y/o Mom...
More & more people are buying property up here & it kills me to see more neighbors come into the area...
but most don't last long...they spend $500 K for small amount of property & their dream home,
then a few yrs later the "for sale" signs come up...most can't handle it living this far from a grocery store or bar, I guess...hell, it's only 20 miles out!!

~Sundance~ I will die on this mountain & if the law allowed, I would be planted here...so, it's cremation & put me in Pet Sematary (yes I love you Stephen King!) with all the animals we have put there over the yrs....YAY! LMAO!
EDIT::: Forgot to add...You are taking care of my RIVER & keeping the jet skiers at bay, Dummy...come on up! You can chase these bears off & call yourself "Mountain Man"...besides, I need meat for the freezer....LOL Trying to make this easily "readable" by spreading it out after posting...is it easier on longer posts????

Wow, see?? That's what I'm hoping for! Complete recovery from a bum knee & if I could be moving better, my butt wouldn't be sooooooo big! No shit...a new lease on Life is just what this Old Woman needs...I'm used to hauling & splitting my own wood, godamnit! Makes you feel too OLD when you can't move freely & after a lifetime of working on my feet, it's very hard to stop! My Doc has tried to put me on hold but I do have another appt. next month to take the plunge on this...I don't want to wait, but doing it in winter requires some serious planning...I have to be able to maneuver on snow & ice, which sometimes requires "hiking" up my road to the house if the snow is deep & heavy....But YOU, SG, sounds as if it has worked perfect for you...Keep going on the weight loss, SG!! New man, new life....wow, you have put me in the mood to do this...good job! LOL

~Sundance~ Not fuckin' ready to be OLD yet..no no no no....LOL
EDIT:: Billy...anybody heard from that KID????? I see he has posted just quickies (& only a few times at the other place)...but no info on how things are going...well?? Billy, speak up BOY!!! LOL Hope all is well & fire went around your unprepared BUTT! LMAO! Prepare, damn it...

Billy is safe.
Wind shifted, 7 choppers on scene, bunch of bulldozers for fire breaking.
All is well.

There really is no GOOD TIME for such a surgery.
Just going to the toilet is a task in itself.
Between crutches, then a walker, then 2 canes, to 1 cane took 6 weeks.
This is not an easy thing, but if you wait until you're too old, recovery takes longer.
Winter would have been better than early spring for me.
I had to prep my outdoor garden in march.
Never could have done it after surgery.

Figure out when you are the least busy, and schedule around that time.
You'll not regret it afterwards, I don't.

I was 3cm away from surgery on my patella only just 2 weeks ago... IMG_20140722_161040_749.jpg

Landed in the ER, was out 7 hours later. Got very lucky!:dance013:

And a little over a year ago I was less than 1cm away from surgery on my thumb; got a little into glassblowing and I was scoring 5ml tubing and I gashed my thumb and exposed the nerves and tendons, but only needed 10 stitches.

Don't know what's in store for next year. I hope I can make it to 50.

EWWWwww, BLOOD! LOL Tea, why in Gawds name are you in the ER taking pics of your fucked up knee??? I know, so you could show off your injuries :dance013: Glad things are better for Billy....that Boy had me worried!

~Sundance~ Yup, I'll have to plan for this surgery...just the stairs in the house is gonna be a pain...I'm on the top floor, Mom is on the main floor & the plants are on the bottom floor...don't know how I'm gonna manage that one! LOL

That will be something you'll need to plan for.
Took 3 weeks before steps were possible or safe.
Hope you got a significant other for support, can't do the first few weeks alone.

Other (& don't want one!!! LOL) but my Kids are here & involved in the grow...I know I can count on them to help me out all I need...

Well it's good to hear that a knee replacement works!! I was in a motorcycle accident about 6 yrs back got hit by a car and compound fractured my femur at my knee, broke my ankle and heel. Doctors didn't put my leg back together correctly so now have all sorts of issues with walking. Problem is I am only 37 and they don't wanna do a knee replacement yet.

If you have insurance, and you can't walk and work, then demand it.
If it's not keeping you from making a living, they'll keep pushing you off.

The only snag is who's responsible, and if you got a settlement for the injury.
Hopefully, the new laws governing past conditions will help.

Mine was wear and tear, complicated by ostio-arthritus.
Got every mile outta my knee.
I felt like frankenstien
