after watching so many Yankee meltdowns this year I'm beginning to think I know what it feels like to be a Mets fan.......

Seems to me Girardi is melting down. I am watching the game, and it's 2-1 Yankees, but evident that the pitcher is tiring. I am yelling at the TV, "take him out", but he doesn't take him out, and bam, there goes the game. This has been happening too frequently. He stays with his starters too long, when everyone else in the ballpark sees the pitcher is spent.

agreed, Girardi is most def part of the problem, but way WAY too many times I've seen zero runs with loaded bases (as well as w/runners on 2nd/3rd) no matter what the out count is; truth is they've been choke artists @ the plate.

pitching could be better but w/o any run support well thrown efforts get a loss.

I'll never understand why fans sitting behind home plate have their faces constantly buried in their iphones while a game is being played right in front of them; pitches, balls & strikes being called and their heads never lift.......

Hey, if they do it while driving and walking on the sidewalk, why not @ the game? There is now a new term: "sidewalk rage". I can't even tell you how many people have crashed into me while walking on the sidewalk, due to them not watching where they are going. They are staring at their idiot boxes. It has gotten so bad, that they are actually considering having cell phone lanes on the sidewalks of N.Y.!
I just love my cell phone jammer!!!!!
You should see the looks on people's faces on the subway/train when their calls are disconnected.
Priceless!!!

Bwahaha! I no sooner open my mouth and I am a jinx and we lose! Can't seem to catch a break if my life depended on it, and it kind of does! ;) Well, hopefully.. wait I am a jinx so I plead the 5th! Seriously if there is a higher power I think he enjoys toying or tormenting me time and time again. Maybe I was a despicable bastard in a former life and not quite getting it here either, I don't know. Anyway, Go anyone but my favorite team... wait I can't say that, jinx be damned GO RED SOX!!!

I'm out watching the game last night, and this guy from out of town is telling me "There is absolutely, undeniably, no way possible, that you can not think that West Coast Baseball is the best Baseball, and the game should only be played on the West Coast."

** Looks at our 11 World Series Titles, and 19 National League Pennants **

Then I ask him, Are you fucking kidding me?

Yup. I can see that happening. When I see one of the i-zombies lurching towards me, I stiffen up my shoulder and just pop them when they bump into me. Some don't even notice, but some take exception. I tell them to "F" off, and if it escalates beyond that, they get maced. The cell phone jammers are a blast on the train. If you've been on a train/subway lately, you know that 50 people are talking at the same time. It is maddening. The jammer shuts them all up, after a few rounds of "hello, hello, hello"......they give up. Also nice in line at the supermarket, when some idiot is talking right in your ear to someone else as you stand in line. Incredibly rude, so I shut them off. Jammers are cheap @ deal extreme dot com.

the field's so screwed up now it's gonna be called, lucky we were ahead.

That's payback for the game last week that was called after 5, with Baltimore holding a 3-1 lead, although that game was much more important regarding the pennant race. Baseball karma!

3 run homer from Suzuki, so sweet.

Why is Cervelli not the everyday catcher? At least he is hitting. He and Chase Headly have been leading the offense. Let McCann play first base when Texeira is hurt, which is half the time.
Meanwhile, Jays finally snapped their 17 game losing streak @ Yankee stadium. Don't know what the Yankees were thinking when they picked up that pitcher.
At least, the Birds are also losing to Seattle.
Cano's departure really hurt the Yankees. That's what happens when you have greedy rappers pimping players with little or no brain power.

Girardi is killing me!!!!!

What is wrong with him? He's the only man on the planet who can't tell when to take a pitcher out.
The other night, Yanks had a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning. He stood there and watched Phelps melt down, giving up a walk and 4 consecutive hits with two outs, 5 hits total in the inning. I started yelling at the TV after the first run scored against them, as they still had the lead. But no, leave him in. Next batter? Whack!!!! Tie game. "Take him out, take him out", I and all other Yankee's fans were screaming. But no. Next batter? Whack!!!!! Now 3-2, Texas. Surely he will take him out now? Not a chance! Bam! 4-2, game over.
And now tonight, same thing. He refuses to take out his starters when they are getting bombed by the worst team in the league.
He has a great bullpen. Why not use them? Does he not understand that every loss is critical?
I think maybe they need to start the game with their closer, then go to Betances, who can get them into the fourth inning. Then use the rest of the bullpen, including some starters who shouldn't be. Let the starters close the game. Plenty of injuries for excuses, but no excuse for the manager not having a clue.

Well, the Texas manager did a Girardi, and left his starter in too long also, and the Yanks exploded. Bailed me out on my $10 bet. :)

watchin' that one was as much fun as a root canal

Yes. I almost had several coronary's. When it was 10-4, I had it in the books. Boy, was I surprised. That last out, I thought it was gone at the crack of the bat. Got under it a bit. Phew.....
