I have some Alaskan I.C.E x (Blueberry x SweetTooth). I just threw down 30 beans to see if they're still viable. 5 years old.
I did grow the Alaskan I.C.E and loved it. Reminded me off the Great White Shark in a way. But more exotic.
It was prone to PM...thats why I crossed it to the BB x ST.

I agree with SubRob based on what I've seen. It's definitely a quality flower, but does it stand up to a OG, Chem D, ECSD etc... I'm not sure. I want to grow my own sample indoors. However I am pleased with how it's performing outdoors and I think the samples I've seen were definitely high quality. It just feels like something is missing. I'd rate it around an 8/10, while something like the Valley OG would rate 9/10(Hesitant to give out 10's on anything). At the end of the day it's all a matter of preference. I've never seen the Sour Dubb so I don't have a reference for that smell. I can say thought that the Bubba has never appealed to me.

Can anyone who has grown both the Chocolate Diesel and the GG4 comment on any similarities between them? From my depo samples the profile I'm getting is like a Chocolate(Bubba type smell) and Piney/Sweet.

I would be the only one to have grown both at this time I think, when I grow the gg4 I don't see or taste any of the choc . its all sour dub and chem, I think possibly the organic growers are getting the choc to come out more.

thanks for your review sub, honesty is always welcome, but please check under your car for a bomb:biggrin:

I would love to try that Alaskan blueberry that sounds like a very special girl!

Boy do I miss my old blueberry girl that smelled strongly of blueberry and tasted that way all the way through a joint.

I can dig it... My Glues are grown in ROLS, and I'm getting a rich coffee note that I suppose could be subjectively taken as a cocoa/mocha sort of thing. Best way I can describe it is a complex sour chem coffee stank

Hey Seaf0ur, looking real good. Bet it smells as good as it looks. You grow strictly organic right? If so that is going taste great with a nice cure.

Hey Unc, or anyone for that matter can you point me in the direction of the Original GG#4 Thread? Still haven't found it yet, just need a little help. Take care 1

I grow with only agsil 16h... every other input is decayed over time by my hands... I have well over 30 visible specie of insects and arthropods not to mention the micros... this is what I refer to as "living soil".... it must contain a variety of life forms in a food chain.... I personally do not believe organics can come from bottles from the hydro store.... by the same token, unc has said several times that he believes "soil" cannot happen indoors and I just have a "fancy medium" ... it all comes down to how you look at it I reckon... some folk get all holier-than-thou over the subject... I say to each his own... if what you're doing works well, keep it up... when it quits working, change it.

I think its a sticky.
I would think it would come up if you searched GG#4.

Looks fire Seafour. very very nice.:tiphat:

I dont get as much Chocolate as most seem to.
Mine comes out sour chemdog, with some bubba (coffee) in there.
The sour coats your sinuses and stays on the palate for a very long time.

I just got a little over 1 GPW with a 7 day veg, 75 day flower.
Under a 400 w hps.
A soilless mix of some Amish people soil, coco, perlite, and EWC
General Organics nutes, AACT's, mycos, Ogbiowar, Armor si.

and i sing to them..

Got 2 nice GG4 x SDB's in flower.
Very excited to see how those turn out.

heres what changed my mind about the living soil indoors thing, and i tried it for years long before there were fancy acronyms so i do have some experience with it even if i will admit there was tremendous ignorance as well...
last spring i had made of a batch of "soil" using coots recipe and some help from dank.frank and was going to give it a side by side trail after letting it fructify for a couple of months before use.i ended up needing about 10 gallons worth for something in the gardens outside,a plant that was going into the ground....then about 2 months later i had to dig around that plant, and that soil i had put in had utterly transformed in the space of 2 months,it was almost unrecognizable as the same thing i had put in the hole, the rest of the "soil" that was inside, virtually unchanged to the naked eye...

so thats all,i believe wholeheartedly in organics, locally sourced and applied to the actual earth rather than sequestered in a grow room somewhere.and i agree wholeheartedly that if it works for you than the random opinion of someone from the internet is hardly relevant...

Interesting. Mine are all being grown in Organic Soil and am definitely getting that chocolate profile. Am trying to line up a winter indoor run, so we'll see how the flavor and profile changes when grown with my regular H&G Recipe.
