That's exactly why I fell in love with the Digi line. It had the amazing terpene profile and had a special euphoric / anti-anxiety / anti-stress - very introspective - type of high to her. It was something I could smoke to "take the edge off" while at the same time allowing me to reflect on my day and really think about it from different angels and perspectives that I would have never arrived otherwise, in what borders on a "3rd-eye" type experience.

For me - it was very much a grail type of effect - and by itself, helped me get rid of three separate medications.

I would never call it "weak" - because the effect it produces is remarkably strong for it's specific INTENT.

I'd also never consider it a "recreational" strain either - it's not racy super active party weed - it's not get baked weed - it's not really social giddy weed - it's a much more medicinal or therapeutic effect. Something I feel gets lost and ignored in the constant hunt for the next most powerful / high THC cut.

I have a line that is pretty consistent for that type of high... it totally gives that CONNECTED feeling, very suggestive to the intent of the user... instant perma grin, just all around feel good compassion weed. I would challenge someone to try and be in a bad mood after smoking it, lol

oddly enough one of the phenos that produce that type of high looked just like Gil's fox tailed lady too. it was like an instant involuntary meditative state

I love it too, one of my favorite type of effects... if I had to choose one variety to live with it would be something with this type of effect... so nice so versatile.

some nice posts on the reasons we all love the Blueberry high :) - and are prepared to run the gauntlet of some of the line's less desirable traits to get a good plant.

my Bb mum also gives lovely, gentle colour wash type trippy visuals which i love.

I find after a Bb smoke, those little things that usually piss me off will make me smile or laugh instead.

My bad. Sorry about that. In my head,I typed "bluedigiberry", but that's not what my fingers did. I usually post from my phone, and I can't always see what I'm typing, so I get lots of typos.

Is the "digi" for digital? If so, is that just the name it had when aquired, or was that name given after the fact. I know it's just a name, and doesn't really matter. I had never heard of digiberry until stumbling onto vg's f2 cross. I've been watching his dp blueberry for several years now.

A friend of mine named Norcal coined it "digi" His reason was that it was like a digital version of blueberry due to the original moms flavor. She is still alive and well. Just a sickly sweet sticky and heavily resinated fruity flowering plant. When taken early @ 49 days its really fruity and sweet tasting. The effect is euphoria. When taken to 60 it takes on a blueberry muffin hot out the oven scent. The effect is heavy indica couchlock and the smoke is really expansive. Just to die for when grown organically. I'm glad everyone is enjoying these genetics. I tested some of the bx1 from the STB of DF's last year outdoor and it was some of the most devistating smoke around these parts. The plants did very well outside with minimal maintenance and little nutes. Gorgeous plants with a great smell and high.

... When taken to 60 it takes on a blueberry muffin hot out the oven scent. The effect is heavy indica couchlock and the smoke is really expansive. ...

Been taking it to 72 days (from first sign of pistils), and it still hasn't been a "heavy indica couchlock", but the smell, sticky feel, and color really set it apart.
At 72 days with over 30 days of cure, my girl produces a "grinning type of UP effect", certainly not racy, but certainly not a couchlock either. It is definitely not something you want to be smoking at midnight if you need sleep. But the flavor, smell, and bag appeal are off the charts.

Thanks to you Chili, Norcal, DF, and VG, I have found that elusive blueberry so many have searched for and not been able to find.

Thanks for chiming in chili! And thanks for your part in sharing the genetics! I've looked over pictures of the digi quite a bit, and I'm pretty convinced that my 2 f2 phenos look much more like the bb mom in vg's cross. Mine aren't frosty out to the fan leaves like the digi. And the growth traits on mine seem to be much more sativa like....however, even though they look and grow so differently, they seem to have retained the smell and the effect. I'm sure it's not spot on, but it's definitely blueberry!
VG's seeds are f2, and should be expected to vary wildly in phenos. That's one of the reasons I wanted to try them, because with an f2, you really don't know what combination your going to get.

hey seymourbud, are you talking about a BlueDigiBerry here or do you have the Digiberry cut?

@seymourbud
I was wondering the same thing? If it's bdb, please put some pics of your findings up. I want to see if my phenos look similar to anyone else's.
-gil

My BDBs are 6 weeks in veg and the strongest smelling ones smell like baby poop, but somehow a pleasent version. The green color on some plants looks almost neon.

I'll admit - when sorting the Digi Bx1 and his outcrosses - any plant that had that burnt rubber smells was pretty much certain to breed good. It's a throw back trait to the Sour Bubble Bx2 male that Chili used on the original Digi outcross, BlueBubble, and the subsequent Bx1 line.

The male pre-98 Bubba x Digi Bx1 - was such a pheno - very strong burnt rubber and skunk...

So....I'm not surprised at all you get those types of scents from time to time, Gil. Makes perfect sense, actually. ;)

Sorry, didn't see this the past few days.

Definitely the BDB, as I was not privileged to have tried the Digiberry by herself. I think based on what I am reading about the DB traits, that my lady leans more to VG's BB mom. My style of growing really caused some issues at first, as I struggled with small container/rootbound issues, and feeding issues ( DF and others stepped in to offer much needed advice, thanks!). Took a couple of tries to finally get a clone to finish, and I have been lucky enough to get 6 clones to a chop at 70-72 days. Been pushing each one a few days more to see what effects it has on the final bud. She acts very similar to my Peyote mom and turns dark blue almost black at around 6-7 weeks. Not as much visible resin as the Peyote, but still very visible. Produces more sugar leaf then I would like, could be a result of my style of growing (small container - single cola, less bud), but I have been saving trim for some baking this coming fall and football/tailgate season.:dance013:

As for pictures, none posted, concerns about security.
