Easiest way to make hash! Quick Wash ISO!

We made .3 G's with it... and I was happy with that. My friend and I smoked it on top of our dank.... and ended the night burning through 2gs of dank... and all the hash.... Havent been that high in ages. He has agreed to go in with me on a half ounce of dank.... and we're gonna be making some out of this world stuff next.

Does any one know if there is an absorption rate that the alcohol can dissolve. I've read that if the ISO is warm it has a higher absorption level than if it's cold but it would be good to know what it is.....if I could wash several batches with the same ISO to save evaporating loads and loads of alcohol would make process a lot more efficient.

Just used this method to recycle some vaped remains. The hash didn't come out pretty, it didn't come out tasty, but it came out swinging; totally hits hard, even being from otherwise spent bud.

My variation: I didn't have mason jars on hand, so I just used a glass salad dressing mixer (tall tapered glass container. no splashing while mixing.) and for the filter jar, I just used a rubber band to hold a coffee filter over a small juice glass. I used 2 grams of vaped weed and swirled for about 20 seconds.

With how easy this method is, I'll be sure to make my own hash from now on. Thank you, OP, for this great post!

quick question, i keep all my trim frozen wet, If i want to make iso, whats the ratio of wet trim / ISO i need? is there a limit to how much THC can be absorbed in the ISO or is it just 3/4 cup for whatever you can fit in a mason jar? gona try this tomorrow

Fruitilicious I only pour ISO in the jar to only soak the buds or trim. Just so everything gets wet.

thanks i ended up doing 3.5 grams of vaped buds and 100g of frozen trim, with 1 cup of ISO. mixed around for 30secs then drained off and squeezed through kithen strainer with hands to get all out. I then evapourated with a heat gun intil it started bubling and got a tiny amount of smoke. Its left a goey mess. this was a few days ago now, but its stil quite goey, think tar consistancy almost, how do i get it to become a solid like all the pics im seeing?

I know alcohol boils around 180 F & I'm sure thats where the 170 purging comes from. In my experience though, keeping in at 120ish takes longer but GREATLY improves terpen retention.

If it was already vaped, it's been decarboxylated. That is what is making it gooey. Not much you can do about that other than keep it frozen and only pull it out to snap a piece off which you must quickly put in your vaping device.

Made some QWISO yesterday.
Used SFV OG trim. Everything placed in freezer before use. Twenty second wash.
Turned out a rusty red when I scraped it out of the Pyrex dish.

After scraping I wrapped it in foil and placed it inside my shoe for pressing.
Pressing turned it into a chunk of blood red goodness.

Tastes sooo good, like lemons and hash. Some powerful, too.

I extracted a Blue Dream sample using four different solvents, namely ethanol, isopropyl, butane, and hexane. I then tested them for cannabinoid content using our GC.

There was not enough difference to eliminate error of the sample, or draw any conclusions from, so I dropped the samples off at a forensic lab with better equipment to see if they could, and haven't heard back. Thanks for the reminder!

I'll check the status, but my concern is that if it slipped between the cracks, enough time has now gone by that the cannabinoid profiles will have changed.

Is everyone vac purging there QWISO? And if so at what temp? Would temps be the same as with butane? Also is QWISO considered "winterized"?

no but you can winterize it, thats what i always did. Did my wash, and chucked it in a freezer for a few days then filtered it. Its been like 4 years since i did a qwiso run... man those were the days lol, i though a mason jar of trim was a lot... Now garbage bags are the normal.

I'm no expert, but i'll share what ive learned so far.
If you are washing wet and green material, keep the washes short. Like 10-20 seconds. If you got good cured bud, then do longer washes. Many different opinions on exactly how long. Anything from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
Dried and cured budd will always give you the best result
