Gorilla Glue #4

I hate to say it, as I'm big believer in this strain, but so far mine is completely lackluster. I have the pre LA-Cup cut. The veg was very promising, it blew up to 35" in just 30 days. I use 54" cages and at least half of them are a foot over the cages after stretch, seriously massive for the amount of time they vegged. No bugs, no nute problems

I'm 4 weeks in, and my Banana running along side the GG4 is destroying it. My GG4 smells similar to my Headband/Sour OG cut, has lots of frost, but is laughable in bud size, strength, and density compared to the Banana it is running next to. Looks a full 2 weeks behind the Banana (same atmosphere, waterings, nutes, light, CO2, etc). Hopefully they decide to turn on soon... otherwise I have way too many other good strains to run this one again.

Wait till 8+ weeks to make that decision.. she really packs it on at the end (at least for me). And the glue makes all my other stuff look laughable in comparison.

I seriously hope you are right krust, and people have been saying she takes a little while to kick into high gear. I really do hope that is the case, because I have a ton of little ones already planted for my next run!

That's why I ran so much of it too. Its like 85% of my room. The plants are crazy healthy, extremely vigorous in veg, and overall just awesome structurally, but mine have just been extremely slow to bust out in flowering. Hopefully it will start packing it on soon. I took 100 cuts of my other strains in case I decide not to run GG4 again.

the buds on mine double in size from day 27 to day 37 .... seriously !!! & the rest of the time was spent getting fatter !! just wait OVO ..... everybody else i've sent the cut to has been extatic

One of my WiFi phenos looked like it was behind in my last run too and then the last week -10 days she really sat at the buffet and fattened up fast. Made a hell of a push to the finish line.

Sounds like the GG#4 would be perfect for my vert scrog screens, as shown by Marlo and Ichabod

Classic Turtle and the Hare story. I got 50% more bud off my outdoor Gorilla plant then I expected. Way more then the bigger plants. The buds blew up toward the end, and got totally encrusted with Trichomes

You need to be kind to your banana, by preparing it for its demise, when the Gorilla eats it down in one swift bite

I was sitting on the porch smoking and thought of the same thing, came in to post it and you already had, tortice and the hare for sure.

my friend you are going to have a mess when you flip them, theres going to be side branches with side branches every where, your in for a learning experience.

So your saying I should top them, get a 14' long x 5' wide ScrOG net and do it that way to keep the canopy clean and even?

I am by no means an expert, but I am running 8 girls right now and the Glue was 4" tall and dormant for 2 months, but in 3 weeks she caught up to all the other gals and is no bigger, taller, greener, and more resistant to stress than any of my other plants. hmm.

I mean after all, ur banana cut is destroy'n the glue n comparison of all aspects such as bud size, strength, and density... Yep, I'd say that's laughable ... Cool, thanks for the info guys. Obviously I'm gonna ride it out, just hope they switch on soon. I'll try to get some comparison pictures today.

BTW dan I checked out, lil' G's grow and his GG4 is definitely kicking mine in the nuts. Unless the GG4 does a super comeback I will probably reduce it down to 1 or 2 lights next run and see if a second run with her proves better results. On the real though, I've never had a plant veg so quickly. Several of them are taller than I am (6') with just the 30 day veg. They're running in only 3 gallons of coco/perlite.

& size does NOT dictate weight with these either ..... what normally looks like a quarter pound plant will throw a half pound at ya once you put it on the scale
