Why do people prefer to grow there own instead of buy?

I dont understand...you grow 2 plants and spend lots of money and a few months growing it and you get what 2 ounces a plant maybe?

Why not just save the time and hassle and buy 4 ounces of dank?

If your plants are costing you more than it cost to buy it, your not doing it right. Yeah you need to make an initial investment on equipment but it pays off real fast when you know what you are doing. Now that my equipment is paid off, it cost me roughly $300 to grow each pound of dank. Show me where I can find pounds of grade A for $300.

Try it bet you'll get way more than 4 ounces of dank unless you have some micro setup in that case how much was startup and costs anyway...for me I don't like club weed most not all but most seem to be over fertilized, picked to early, or improperly grown not to mention who in the hell knows what chemicals they sprayed on their crop.Plus it's what I do what I love being with plants all day. It's anything but a hassle to grow your own. What it would cost you to pick up 4 top shelf club ounces I can grow lbs

Here is a plant grown indoors with a bit more than 2 oz , many here grow bigger than this with some longish veg times to keep plant count within limits....point is yield is dependent on many factors and saying what a plant will yield before you've even grown one is foolish.

I see you asking a lot of noob questions which is fine but your time would be more wisely spent reading these forums. Here is a good place to start:

o_O My brain officially hurts reading that. Yeah, initial investment can be a bit steep. But that initial investment is, for the most part, 90% of what you need to grow for years (Minus bulbs, nutes, and other replaceable items). But i mean... after that, you pay for leccy and water... thats about it. Unless you are using money for medium haha. But yeah anyhow o_O

The problem is you're not following your screen name.

touché! ROFLMAO

but to answer the question:

*the money it costs to by 4zips of dank would buy me enough supplies to grow 10x that

*safety (ON SOOO MANY LEVELS)

*quality control (OVERALL)

*variety

*consistency(ON VARIOUS LEVELS)

*ability to produce quality products (edibles, hash, oils)

I mean to be honest it is kind of a stupid question and your name makes it completely ironic in a comedic way but hey who am I to judge right, since I took the time to answer it.

You might get bad yield the first time, but you get better each time. And if you do like your name, and grow big, even a bad yield would be well over 2 ounces dude. You can easily pull double that under a 400, and quadruple that under a 1000. Even with mistakes.

Plus I search all this site and i only see the big dogs here who got the good yields...every newb grow ive checked out on here ....they got like 1-2 ounces...shitty imo lol.

i originally wanted to grow and archive 8 ounces.

2000 posts just means I talk a lot, not that I'm a good grower. I am though. Both of those things.

My biggest yield so far was just over a pound, from under a 1000w HPS. But even on my very first grow ever, I got 3 ounces from under a 150w HPS. It's not that hard if you read and understand what you will be doing first, before planting your seeds.

Your setup would be decent. If you could put a 400 in a 3x3 space it would be even better. Under a 400 you can easily get 4 ounces, quickly achieve 6 to 8 ounces, and possibly even get more than that when you know what you're doing.

For the record, I consider my largest garden, the 1000w in a 4x4 tent, to be a small garden. And with my small gardens, I'm supplying my wife and me with non stop medicine. Never have to buy anything except nutrient and small supplies, the occasional light bulb, and media.
