Its hard for me to believe.
Duds may have happened but I don't think they were passed knowing they were duds. Why would any sane human being set themselves up for that?
Thats just real hard for me to believe.
Sunset has contacted me an offered new cuts. So have others I wont name for their privacy.
Doesn't seem like the actions of someone who just doesnt care or else why bother?
Im going to finish whats in flower and start with the fresh cuts just to be on the safe side.

What I do know is the GG4 i've seen is way frostier looking then that pic you're putting up regardless of how big the nugs look. So rather than acting like it's inconceivable, perhaps you have a dud... Just my .02

He has the same dudded gg as i had. They look identical to mine. Pale light colored small leaves. Very low frost and i bet the smell is minimal. Sucks ass. Its a damn shame but at least he can get new stock.

Storm Shadow knows whats going on, he's helped many out on the broad mite issue when most had no clue what it was... He's dropped hints here and there, but looks like he doesn't want to do all the legwork for others... So hope soon he'll give us a bit more insight on his discoveries.

What is the consensus then? Is this phenomenon residual bm toxin? Storm shadow may be able to pick it out but so far I've yet to see anyone describe clearly what the cause is. The toxin seems like most likely answer.

Never heard of duds. If anything you sound like a dud.

some times not everything is perfect buddy.

I grew some vintage 2006 - seed plant with the worst vigor - bud development - and frost - good smell. Now with what you are saying - I have a dud. It was weak all around. Now was that because of me or the plant?

Id say me. cause I grew out 2 clones off that bitch and fuck me i wish i kept one of those clones cause that shit was BOMB! totally different plant - 2x stretch - FAT buds - great smell - deep colors... But if I thought like you and tossed it probably in flower... i would of never had that great experience I did later on and savor/miss.

i would have a hard time (meaning i won't ever) believing passing dudds was intentional - that would put whoever was caring for & handling the dudd plants in danger of other gardens they come in contact with acquiring the blessed blessing.

the thing with dudds is sometimes it shows its whole ugly face, sometimes it only shows a glimpse ala a single branch, and for the most part you can't tell in veg if the plant is fairly healthy. you look at it see vigor see deep green you think 'hey we're good to go even though a few months back we had a problem i couldn't quite figure out maybe i figured it out yay me!' so you multiply that gal.... you get 95-98% of what you had, you think you're good and just need to fine tune some shit a touch more... ready set go!

people like to ask and folks like being nice. so its a fucked thing.

im bummed to hear of/see the fucking pics of the glue throwing dudds.
but i am glad more attention is being paid to the 'phenomenon'

folks need to really ask themselves, when wanting to add ANY new flavor (clone) to their garden, "is that strange shiny plant i don't have THAT good, THAT much BETTER than what I have now? Do i really need to roll the dice - whats the reward again? am i prepared for battle?".

Im usually much more even keel than that but when your havin a problem an someone comes in says hey I know what it is its horrible but then tells you figure the rest out yourself, then keeps commin back to point out the same thing an add nothing new, I got frusterated.
I kinda thought the whole reason we are here is to help each other out an share knowledge. When someone claims to have the knowledge to help but refuses to share it sucks in a big way.
Especially when its something that hasnt been discussed in a million threads and is mostly new to many growers.
I dont necessarily like posting pics of fucked up plants yea its an ego thing, but I did it in the end so others might learn an use what happened to me as reference.
Storm shadow had a chance to help many people not just me had he offered up a little more information on the subject but he leaves us all in the dark a link to info goes a long way too sometimes the search is picky an doesnt find everything.
Thats why I even tried google sometimes it finds threads the search doesnt.
I welcome any kind of input In my thread as long as its contructive even if its criticism.

imo homie storm did help. just pointing it out was huge. he may have been blunt and maybe a tad sharp, but as he was laying it down he was being cast off... so whats a dude to do? some guys would play nice and and some guys will take their ball and go home - its their prerogative. not everyone will be sunshine and ice-cream.

I tried to give you a heads up on a PM before anyone mentioned your pics might be heading in the DUD direction but you brushed it off as it was nothing... And you didn't think you were having any real issues until others started to chime in...

Even if someone points out that there might be an issue but doesn't give you all the answers its still your responsibility to take the next step and try to figure it out and ask questions instead you decided to sweep it under the rug and blame yourself till the very end. With more known farmers coming out I hope now you take this issue a bit more seriously, and its starting to look that way.

Thanks for posting those pictures as a reference point for spotting Duded buds... This will help others in the future.... And as for the new batch of glue shots you posted, they do look pretty healthy but what worries me is the height and the stretch/internode spacing for their age.. I can see they are barely growing over the trellis unless thats what you wanted? Thats another sign you might want to look out for.....
