Durban Poison - any tips?

This is my second grow, I've gained a bit of experience from my first grow, it's actually amazing how much you learn on your first grow.

I was wondering if you had any tips for growing Durban Poison inside (Dutch Passion feminized beans)? I am going to grow it in a 5gal. pot, I'm planning to top it at the second node at about 3 weeks or so and plan to veg it for about 6 weeks. Since this will be my first sativa, I'm wondering if the veg time is not too excessive?
I am anticipating that the topping will do the job in terms of controlling the height of the plant, I can allow it to grow up to 6-6.5ft at the most.

If you have any tips or remarks to my post, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Real Durban poison grows mostly like an indica from what I've seen. Dutch passion used to have the real deal, not sure about now. Easy to grow strain top at 5th node/ month IMO. Good luck

Actually they stretch like a lot and take a long time to flower.

I've only learned about them grown outdoors, So Maybe I was wrong. Are you talking about DP Durban Pine?

I haven't grown the DP version. Maybe they bred all the Durban out of than one. I always thought it was a Durban-skunk cross. I grew Dutch Dragon which is also a Durban cross and got the Durban phenotype. That phenotype stretches as much as anything I've grown, yielded huge, and flowered for 14+ weeks.

That is what it is listed as in some strain lineage guides, but I'm not sure we really know as Paradise doesn't make the information available. Additionally, they reworked it at some point.
