Oh shit my 100 gal per day unit isnt enough for my room anymore!
I need a new unit! I just replaced the membrane and filters on this bitch and even added a prefilter. Its just not cutting it!
Ive only been getting about 25-30 gallons out of it.
LA tap is filthy!

What worked for me was to make a giant ro res, think I store maybe 150 gallons. That gets me down the road with a 100. The 200's are more efficient. Check out filterguys.biz they are fucking awesome. You can probably just add a second membrane to yours since you just replaced the first one.

I feel you on that dirty water man...

And did you hear how there has been a uranium mine leaching uranium pollutants into the colorado river? And we just found out.

My 200GPH unit fills up a 30gallon res. From there i pour out 5 gallons at a time into 5gal buckets and mix food in those. I go thru about 12-15 gallons a day in my spot.

I usually have to fill it up every other day and My res is closed top so I coudln't install a float valve - and yes ive over filled it before - buckets and the res lol

you can bet my floor was clean!

Love that GH Micro and Bloom, I used it for 6 years in soil but not in 6/9 formula. It won't work for me anymore. I need 1 nute I can feed all the way through veg and bloom with out changing things like dropping micro in mid/late bloom. I got 1 rez to feed them all with blumats and the veggers and bloomers will get the same grub every feed. It was kind of scary to cut the 3' tall veggers off the GH 6/9 last week and whack them with Maxibloom 7g but they never missed a beat and look as good or better than the 6/9. One good thing is no more ph down, the MB and protekt get the ph right near 5.8. I'll use up the rest of my micro and bloom by feeding clones while they are building roots in cups. Never know, if things go south I can always go back to GH 6/9 and hook up a second rez.

just watered my plants and i decided to check run of EC and PH, some of the leaves on one plant starting to show calcium def.

ph on both plants was 5.5 and the EC was 3.2.

the EC of the feed going in is 1.6 ph 5.9

usually id give it a flush with a feed of EC 1.0 until run off is back down near feed levels.

what do you guys recommend ?

Something more like .2-.5ec diluted base nutes... 1.0 still contains a lot of food.
What do the plants look like?
Usually the ph will rise, but thats a lot of buildup.
Is this new coco?
Might wanna check your roots if this isnt new coco.
How many times a day are they being watered?
Also make sure not to let them dry out.

it was new coco at the time of transplant. their 22 days in flowering.

one plant has been showing black dots on the leaves like calcium def. the other looks fine. i only tested run off like two weeks ago and the only thing that was out a little was the ph it was 6.3.

ill get pics up now

Damn 3.2 that's not good. Are you running in straight coir? I'd say mix a batch of half strength ec 0.6-0.7 and start feeding that every feeding until your run off levels come back down.

one is in straight coco the others 50/50 perlite mix.

i could never get the run off ph to drop lower then 6.3, i thought this might be the reason of the def.

i was phing it at 5.7 to try drop it

Black dots isnt calcium. It could be lots of other things.
Heres a good shot of what calcium deficiency looks like

Those plants look healthy.
Coco is great!
You might want to start watering twice a day with 1.2ec 5.8ph
Im surprised they dont need 4x per day
Its probably too late to start watering them a bunch of times per day. Theyve built roots that expect dry cycles.
Your problem was probably letting them get too dry
Is there perlite in there too?
My plants dont get that big in #2's of pure coco and they need atleast 3 waterings by the end.
Next time you might wanna clear more of the pinner branches out though

i thought i was keeping it to moist so i watered one every second day, only for a few days.

on joes fresh guide to sick plants the deff looks like the cal deff he has thats why i thought maybe cal def

I cant see how those plants could stay moist for 24hrs with perlite in there...
What are your room temps and rh%?
Damn, just read thats 50% perlite?
Thats way too much for coco. 25% is good, but I actually like 100% coco and I still need to water a bunch...

temps are between 24 C to 27 C

rh is 35 to 70

id say one needs watering twice per day but the one with the def im not sure about. it still seems heavy the next day.

i added a pic of the whole plant that showing the deff in previous post

theres perlite in one and pure coco in the plant with the deficiency.

ye im working towards getting DTW set up.

i cleared loads of leave branchs off them but they grew like crazy

plants may look good now but with the 3.2 EC how long would that last?

thanks for taking the time to help me out

Id just water them more.
Give them a light .5 feed early, then give them a 1.2 feed about 6hrs in
What nutrient program were you using before you switched to 6/9? EC?
Have you checked your roots?
