However, the department said in its advisory that the company had said it was working with other licensed producers to find a supply of purple kush for its clients.

Well, they've got their work cut out for them. Finding PK in BC? Needle in a haystack....

Don't know if I'm in the right on this one, but i have contacted the government to get the EXACT details on this under the Access to Information Act. We need more specifics on this, exact details actually. FFS, we're talking about patients here. What about those with compromised immune systems? Let's see what comes of it. Don't know if ya don't ask I say. And it's literally one of our rights to exercise as patients

LMFAO so this is how you switch brands the government's way. Were just one month in and one company has been taken off the MMPR list and now they changed name to dispose of the old toxic brand and two companies got busted with 2200 LB of weed yet no one has been charged or gone to jail and information that should be public has been kept hush hush.

See this kind of shit all the time with bars and nightclubs. Just as greasy a move on their part in this case too. At the end of the day, it's still just putting lipstick on a pig. So how many times will HC allow for this type of "re-branding" is my question. How many strikes against can one have before they get pulled permanently? Or is it going to be the same revolving door as the bar and nightclub industry when it comes to this shit? New name and you're good to go. SMH

Might as well throw this in. The same organized crime that the gov says was abusing MMAR to their advantage would give their left nut to be able to do what the gov is currently allowing the LP"s to get away with.

Oh so will anyone from Tweed and Mettrum get the mandatory sentence for trafficking cannabis under the new laws?

The product was fine. Passed lab and all that. The problem was with paperwork.

Can you elaborate at all? I find it really hard to believe a company, with presumably hundreds of thousands of dollars or more invested, would not only change it's name, but it's website, and make no mention of these changes under their new name or why they occurred, due to some clerical errors in paperwork.

Sorry but I call a big BS on that one. Smells like they're trying to hide something to me. This isn't an attack towards you in anyway Agracan(don't shoot the messenger and all that) but this just reeks of trying to hide something IMO.

Exactly who changes their business/brand because of some failed paper work unless its become tainted and needs to be changed or there was a change in ownership.

I went through the site and no where do they even list their legal name ie ... BC ltd or Broken Coast ltd/corp/inc. Even their Privacy Policy and TOS don't list a legal name.

Now I can see some growing pains in the general retial market or something like that but these are suppose to be "Medical Companies" selling "Medical Grade" products.

Greenleaf's or Tweeds....

Cause according to HC greenleaf had sanitary issues which is why there was a recall.

Now tweed...they must be having some issues if they are irradiating this batch...but not the rest...unless you were refering to the 1200lb seizure.

What is wrong with THIS batch...

Not slapping you around by no means, but...

Sorry...Can't swallow that explanation. In all the years I have been alive has a product been recalled because the paper work was screwed up. Recalls happen because there's a safety issue...possibility of someone getting hurt or killed.

Please...Could you post a link to the paperwork reasoning...Thanks.

Peace...B

I'm only relaying what was told to me personally. I was told it was issues found with the record keeping, this has been confirmed by other members of the industry, via their sources. I'm not much of one to pry into peoples business, so I did not press the issue. I for one tend to believe this explanation.

The product did pass lab testing, that is why HC says that consuming it will not cause any harm. I cannot speak for GL so I don't know the details of what record keeping was insufficient. As was also said here it was a voluntary recall so it could not have been anything that would cause immediate danger to health, which reaffirms the good product bad paperwork story.

As for the change of company name again I have no clue, I have not asked about that, I could speculate but again that would not bring anything conclusive or constructive to the discussion.

I recall reading that it was for use of improper pesticides in GreenLeaf's case.

Greenleaf could have handled this situation differently. The fact that they haven't released a clear statement and changed their name creates an unfavorable impression.
IMO, the right thing, would have been to keep operating as Greenleaf Medicinals and clearly explain the reasons for recall on their web site. That would have eased concerns of transparency and could have been attributed to "new production practices" which take time to fine tune.
