Do people in Cali still do the run some plants as light deprived so they're harvestable around June I believe?

No, all California growers decided that Light Dep doesn't work, and is not economical. 99% have discontinued the activity.

I dont know where you are stasis... but People in cali do PLENTY of light deps all year... you are silly in the head if you think people arent doing it... cmon 12 hours of june sun.. im deffinatly looking forward to my little light dep to get me by :)

I will say that for 2 months, I gave up a life... To do LD.. Unless motorized blackout, that is the trade-off.

Here in "Metro Mitten Land" - normal prices 25-32 Indoor depending on who yr peeps are. Lowballers are everywhere, but that is the way in general round here.

Low to moderate quality dominates the market due to overfeeding, bigger is better mentality (heat issues) - and the low Humidity rooms whether from heat or AC...

16 for brown (ahem, gold) chemdawg #4 outdoor, 18 for blue sugar and blueberry OG outdoor...5200/unit for any kind of light colored wax...3600 for the dark...all norcal prices.

On the light dep front... This year I decided to experiment with autoflowers instead of a light dep. I was hoping for 100/gm per plant and I'm forecasting 30-40gms per plant...not doing it again. light dep is great, if someone else is doing it and it's already setup. :D

Kicking myself for not carrying my camera to the outdoor grow ops I visited yesterday. Some beautiful stuff coming down in about a month.

Those were actually not light deps I saw as you're right...no need for pulling tarps now. If anything they were adding some heat not too long ago and supplemental lighting. One small greenhouse had 3 1000's on tracks for a bit of a boost early morning and late evening. The heat has been turned off now. I talked to them about adding some hydronic heating to their beds for better results with off season runs like they're doing.

Nice!!!

I seen a beautiful greenhouse that had planter beds with a grid of PVC ran in a closed loop system off a water heater or "hydronic heating" as you called it lol I didnt know the term when I seen it but loved the idea :) Simple and cheap! :woohoo:

I hope your plants finish out ok, 420247. I've done spring light deps for some time and find mine do much better when I pull tarp. Flowering from mid march to mid may, the daylight really increases, which can confuse them. I started pulling tarp and the buds come out way tighter.

or atleast move them to indirect light. so they get indirect light for a few hours? has that helped fisher. Currently im trying some ladys in a light dep. and some just sort of in the shade to see what happens.

Thank you guys for the helpful info :tiphat: I'm not worried about how tight a bud is or can be :) And I have done this for more years than just this one, It'll work. However I am not sure about the few I put out on the 1st... But because this is a garden just for me, I'd rather just see if they will finish :) like a test of how late can I put them out to see if it is consistent year after year... A sunny day is a sunny day but the season decides how long that sun will be up for...

I plan to turn all this into hash :) Flowers are for beginners and the ladies... lol
