Stealthy Stacked Tubs

Definitely still have a lot of learning to do, but I'm feeling good about this one!

Few pics of what I've got in the works:
Not exactly stacked tubs anymore... or even that stealthy... but they're portable!

New CFL light I built for this one. Cost about $25 including the bulbs and it will put out 276 watts if I load up all the bulbs.

Here's where the GSC is at. What do you guys think about the colloidal silver spray? It's doing SOMETHING... not sure if its "working" just yet.

Can't wait to be here tomorrow...

Small update, got a bunch of seedlings coming down the runway but I'm really just waiting for this GSC to finish up so I can crank the SOG action into full gear.

I've settled on 24 flowering plants total. Plan is to pull 6 plants every 2 weeks which should add up to roughly an ounce and a half every 2 weeks. That's not including my pheno hunting section, which will have room for 48 tiny planlets.

Anyways, here's where we're at.

GSC forum cut bagseed, roughly 4 weeks in. Smells great!

And the makeshift veg cab. This will be the new flowering area once the GSC finishes.

Also another shoutout to Tonygreenhand and the Redeyed Genetics crew! I was just gifted a bunch of really great crosses to play around with, these guys have collected a bunch of the best clones in this area and have been working with them so I'm excited to have access to all these great genetics.

In the seedling tray I've put 15x Orange Satellite (Orange Blossom x Blue Satellite) and soaking in the shot glass are 9x Black Lab (Blackberry Kush x Tre Stardawg). The seedlings in the party cups are ([kromes the white x jj's stardawg] x deep chunk) and the largest is a Frog Fart (Stardawg BX x [BerryWhite x Fire Alien OG]).

So... no blaming the genetics if this goes south! I've been dinking around in this box for a good while now so I'm hoping to finally get some dank out.

hey man the silver spray you are spraying them with, you do not spray at the bud do you.
i got told of some old school growers that you should never spray at the bud only the stem that you want, and you spray the stem daily for 2 week's and then stop :) what do you spray the bud or the stem ?

i am thinking about trying this next grow :)
so i would ask around about this
and fine grow :)

Unfortunately the colloidal silver experiment was a failure, at 3 weeks in the plant still had not reversed fully.

I was spraying the whole plant, buds and all as this was just for pollen not for consumption. The problem was I bought the silver from a health food store and it wasn't strong enough not did I have the quantity you need to reverse a female.

I will be building a CS generator and giving it another go in the future, but for now I'll just have to find a nice male.

Things have been moving right along in the tubs! Pretty happy with how things are turning out, the goal this round was to take a step back and grow one nice plant to completion.

I'm thinking a Chem 4 herm'd and pollinated the forum cut to create this. Yield is looking pretty solid despite losing some to burns and poor training on my part. I'm still waiting on my reveg to spit out some more regular leaves before I clone it, but I think this cut would do really well in a SOG.

Smells are very similar to the forum cut, but with some definite dawg undertones in there that are becoming more present as time goes on. Frost coverage is very nice as well, with all the lower nugs totally caked out.

And a peak over at the veg side...

Plan here is to flip everything, identify males and possibly create some F2's if things are looking good. I'm moving soon so I'll most likely just keep a cut or two from this run along with the GSC bagseed.

Once I get settled in my new place I'll be running some Mextiza from CBG. SO excited to get that project going, I'll definitely be making a ton of seeds on that run. I've also got some Ghana from CBG that's supposed to be an intense and trippy thc-v loaded beast so I hope I can preserve both of these awesome lines while at the same time crossing them to create something really special.

Looking good man plants lookin very sticky!

Funny enough I got mextiza and ghana lined up for the next pop as well.

2000 thanks man I appreciate ya stopping by! We've got a taste for the exotic I suppose, that's awesome I can't wait to see how those ghanas turn out for you. Would also like to see the difference in the nep/jams and the mextizas.

I see you messing with some pollen there... Any big plans or just making a few beans? With all the genetics you're running I can only imagine you've got some cool ideas cooked up!

Nah just making beans to get more self sufficient for those strains. I'll probably do some pollen chuck crosses for safekeeping but no big project or anything in mind.

You gonna upsize the grow when you move?

Yea definitely back up everything you've got going! I've been debating what to do at my next place, hard to say yet as I haven't seen it but I'm picturing an apartment building so it may have to stay this size. If I upsized it would only be a to a diy tent smaller than 3ft cubed and still powered with cfls. I just love the idea of being able to pick up my whole grow and move it at a moment's notice.

I have yet to get a solid SOG run in these tubs, I'm hoping I can do it proper this round and push the tubs to their full potential.

Good news is I'm setting up a garden for... my parents! I'm also going to be collaborating on pheno hunts with another buddy of mine that's a much better grower. And everything we produce is for ourselves so our needs are not too extreme. Should be enough between our gardens to satisfy everyone though :)

All smiles over here! The garden is looking good and I'm getting excited to move. The GSC bagseed will be chopped in a few days here, and next up we've got the (White x Stardawg)x Deep Chunk that are getting cloned and put into flower as soon as they show roots.

Couldn't be happier with this Jack's professional and coco. Super easy to read the plants needs and adjust, and when only using these 2 base nutes + Epsom salts there's no need to even adjust PH as it stays right around 5.8 without adjustments. I'll definitely start flushing a bit earlier next time and also ease off the cal-nit around week 3-4.

Harvested about 4 days ago and she's been hanging to dry ever since.

My whole house WREAKS to a scary degree every time I open this drying box. Smells like someone doused a skunk in gasoline mixed with super glue. Couldn't be happier with this little bagseed, it's not a dead ringer for the forum cut by any means but the smells are definitely present.

While I was trimming I found one open set of male flowers on one of the preflowers. Not bummed at all, that's the chance you take running bagseed and I actually hope I get a few seeds out of the deal so I can find some more cool phenos.

I'll post some harvest shots soon. They go into jars tomorrow!

2000 I'll update very soon :) between getting some sweet new glass, the end of the snowboard season, and being high as shit off all this LOUD weed has been sucking up all my time hehe

Bueno the variac is what you want! I went through using speedsters and other junk, this thing does what I want a speed controller to do. Gives you very fine adjustments that can rid you of excess sound or vibrations.

The main thing for me that justified the cost is it does these things without causing any whine/screeching sounds from my fan like the speedsters did. That shit was even louder than the fan itself. With the variac I generally have my 4" inline fan dialed back to 60% and it's as close to silent as I will ever need.

Well after drooling over some other threads with their fancy Cree CXA led's I decided I had to make the change to LED.

I went the el-cheapo route and purchased the led chip and driver off ebay. The 100w cost me $30 for both and the 50w cost me $40. I got the rest of the parts from a computer recycle place near my house. Heatsinks cost me $1.50 a piece, ac/dc adapters another $1.50, power cords $1, and they seem to be working just fine so far.
