That's true frank but what about increasing yeild of cooks? If you think about it that way maybe not a bad idea, seems like a pretty unstable cross tho.

Its been a long time since I made a rule here at SDF...NEW RULE:

No one is allowed to use the word 'blessed' when talking about a cut they received! That word has been used up in other threads...'blessed' is the new 'bro'

I like "burdened"...as in... "Now I'm burdened with all these a$$ hats buggin me for a cut". But hey, I'm an a$$ hat too.

P.S. Tardigrade, I think that we met in PB for a brief exchange....I have
a question for you (it's all good ;0). Please PM me here.

Hey T, I got your note via the Rep. I cannot communicate here at
all...yet. I just had a question about the Tahoe, but it can wait
until I have enough posts here. Sorry for the thread jack folks.

Anything that lowers the yield of GG#4 is just undermining one of the traits that makes her such a great plant to begin with...but that is just my opinion.

You mistake my intentions - I am more concerned with improving the pitiful yield / finicky-ness of the cookies. Greyskull is absolutely right, the cut I got was a pain to maintain and I only run things that want to live.

GG4 seems to be a solid community based solution as opposed to my normal smack-it-with-whatever-male-I-have-lying-around approach.

What other gorilla glue crosses have been made?

There are a ton of GG#4 crosses - it's everyone's new favorite and it seems everyone that has her is putting whatever pollen they happen to have around to her...

I wasn't being critical in the notion of it shouldn't be done - more so just thinking out loud.

Sorry if it was taken that way. ;)

Certainly a Glue infusion could add some improvement to a lot of crosses - but I tend to think in terms of how do we move forward, not in terms of how do we get other things to be on the same playing field.

Which in even making that statement, I understand that doing such is also progressive and moving forward - it just doesn't necessarily raise the bar again - as much as it just levels the field.

I've got no right / say over what people do or don't do with what they have - nor was that my intention. Really, just thinking out loud...

Good to see DD, Sub and Greyskull are alive and well. :)

EC, those crosses look nuts. If you keep taking pics that look that good I'm going to develop a complex. :tiphat: How are your CBD projects coming along?

Has anyone thought about reversing and then crossing Gorilla Glue and Girl Scout Cookies?

Here's a cut of Ace's Pakistan Chitral Kush at chop, the camera kinda muted the purple buds. Unfortunately, PCK is not good for impressive looking yields. Despite MASSIVE vegging, I didn't get larger buds, just dozens of tiny ones. Ace has a new cross which I have in veg that looks more promising, Orient Express x PCK. I'll take some shots of it when I toss her into flower eventually.

Finally got around to getting the Toci leaf samples tested and I seriously couldn't be happier with the results. Every single seedling came back as being CBD-dominant with 2 of the females also containing CBG. 2:1 & 1:1 CBD to THC ratios across the board with a terpene profile unlike any CBD plant i've personally experienced. Yes indeed, stoked am I.
STRAIN THC % CBD%

T- #1m 0.42% 0.96%
T- #2m 0.67% 0.93%
T- #3m 0.37% 0.78%
T- 4 0.27% 0.49%
T - 5 0.28% 0.33%
T - 7 0.42% 0.67%
TOCI #10 0.93% 1.10% 0.12% CBG
TOCI #11 0.49% 0.69%
12 m 0.48% 0.95%
8 F 0.62% 0.98% 0.09% CBG

I also agree that #10 seems to be the one judging from the tests. It's hard to imagine getting 2.3% total cannabinoids from a 5 week old vegging fan leaf and it not being killer. But these samples were also done with plants vegging under T5's and each individual pheno is reacting quite differently to 12/12 and HPS.

The way I understand it is that the actual percentages in an early test aren't as important as the cannabinoid ratio because the amounts can fluctuate dramatically with environmental changes but the ratio remains relatively constant throughout the life of the plant.

Case in point; Toci #4. So far she's got the vigor of a commercial cash-cropping strain and stacking on trichs just as fast and furiously. So even though she tested with the 2nd lowest cannabinoids in veg it's entirely possible for her to end up as being the most productive when all the factors are put in place.
