Yeah I miss h34d.. I never even got to purchase any of his seeds.

i remember snagging a few packs of g13 x sour d for about 30 quid each and being blown away by the plants that came out of them.. i wish id been able to keep her about but sadly lost my mother during a raid :(

come back h3ad.. we miss you!!

Everyone I introduced to Karma Genetics always kept a pheno and was more than pleased with it. I have had a lot of good experience with OGraskal. Some of his feminised seeds were more stable than regulars from other companies.

I'm going to catch hate for this but I actually had really good luck with Rez's Chemdog line. Found multiple keepers from 2 packs, one IX-III and one IBL. I also found a keeper of Sour Cheese (CSG) and only popped 2 beans, one of which was male

Rare Dankness

ograskal, rare dankness, mosca negra, connoisseur genetics are all top notch

You got any personal experience with RD? Their genetics sound pretty intriguing. Always wondered whether they had a true OG in their genetics or something they just call OG. Also hear a fair amount of hermie problems with their gear. Your input would be most appreciated.

I for one hope you don't get any slack just for sharing your experience and opinion on a breeder someone may not particularly care for. I asked a question and I appreciated everyone that chimes in to share. Is not what the whole purpose of this forum! So let's keep a positive vibe and talk about good weed to smoke!!!!!!!!

maybe I am not sure what is a keeper.... "...found a keeper... and only popped 2 beans, one of which was male"

really??

always hear that I good rule of thumb was a keeper every 100 seeds.

I do. The neviles haze/trainwreck male is very dominant in the crosses it's in, but the results when hit with their female selections speak for themselves. I have a bubbas trainwreck haze cut I kept, and two gth#9 cuts fighting for dominance.

Ill get a pic up later today. All three were from two packs.

A keeper is a matter of personal opinion. What one of us would consider the holy grail another may think otherwise. As long as you find something that's perfect for your personal situation that's your keeper.

deciding who to recommend

E$kobar delivers the fire. Only minimal experience, but out of a Karma, Bodhi, and E$ko gear run, which both other breeders deserve a spot here, I'm gonna have to say my expectations were exceeded and I now consider esko the best "bang for your buck" breeder out there.

Motarebel as well.

you cant really recommend any breeder honestly.. because If ur environment sucks.. and ur growing skills suck.. u wont find winners period lol.. anything u find could potentially be amazing or garbage.. depends a lot more then people think.. growing skill is a big part of growin.

BOG. Despite fairly slow veggers in soil, veg great in hydro, his strains are as advertised and "keeper in every pack".

That is if you consider the keeper to be the pheno described in the breeder description. Which I think should be the definition of a keeper.

Example. I want bubblegum. Pack of 10 pop em get a pheno that finishes as advertised, taste, smell, potency all like the description. That's the keeper. If you don't like the strain you can't say you didn't get a keeper. I think that's the confusion.

Back in the day I would start with a 100 to search for male and female parent stock. Now it seems like most well repputed breeders are delivering good examples in 10-20 seeds. I still feel 50 to a 100 to see what's there. Can't pop 3 beans and give any opinion on the strain or the breeder imHo.

Great thread!

Sorry Lester but I have to disagreed with you

I expect that at least 6 of those 10 plants are like the description, if not what it this???

For me a keeper is the one that been like the description or not!, has a few qualities that are above average, for me the first one is potency, but there are list of things to look for in a keeper, yield, taste...

Why a keeper could be diferent that the description? easy, because has one or more of this "nicer" qualities. Think of all the seleccions of Skunk#1, Cheese and Orange Bud.

If you are not looking for outrageous potency, Mandala gear is great. Low maintenance, high quality, great flavors, great bag appeal. I think they would make some great breeding material, personally.
