San Diego Finest Cuts #3

Definitely one of San Diego's Finest Cuts: Cherry Pie

I dunno if this is considered a bona fide SD local cut before, but I'm not losing her now, that's for sure. A buddy who's just not gonna worry got her from a CL vendor and she checked out great in the proving grounds. What a smell, dank and rich, thick in my nose. Not sure how to describe her, dank though. She looks done at 5 weeks, purpled up something dark and beautiful, got an even zip off this lovely lady. She did throw what looked like fully formed male pollen sacks, just singles below the buds, but not one seed in all my plants. First time I've been disappointed that a hermi was just teasing. I'm going to reverse her and dust everything I have. I have no idea if this is a legit cut, but other ( more trusted ) eyes have voted she's legit.

cherry pie is awesome but its not from san diego, comes from norcal bay area.

that cut looks legit, and she does throw inviable hermie pods so sounds like you got the real deal.

How was the flavor profile on that NL ECt? Pine or that fruity, sea breeze type of taste?
It was closer to the latter although it did have a touch of pine on exhale. Just not as much as I wanted which is a big part of why I wasn't completely blown away. While it was one of the better NL's I've came across recently and everybody else went crazy over it what I was really hoping for was that elusive Christmas tree funk.

Another non-native Bay area gem that's found it's way south.
Platinum Cookies; often over-shadowed by her notorious sisters but still worthy of any garden when treated right.

Dub Envy at 60. (Adub x Green Envy) Once again huge props/thanks to everyone who had a hand in the Dub Tech project and making the results available to the community. Acts of generosity of the like are a large part of what made me want to become a member here and your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I hear you on that!

I grew out a couple packs of Dr. NL a few years back - and they were all very uniform in growth, and on the stem rub all smelt exactly the same. There were about 5wks in - too late to really take cuts at that point - when I brushed up against something one day and the room just filled with the smell of pine sap. Took me molesting a few plants to find which one it was - but sure enough it was there. Straight up pine sap / with a bit of dusty, earthy pine needles - but on the stem rub smelt identical to the others.

I completely missed that pheno - and of course it didn't reveg for me. But, it was some really good smoke. Smoked more sedative and would put me in a real giggly stupor.

If nothing else, I know those beans DO have such a pheno still in the mix...and it is all in the resin - you'd never be able to isolate that pheno in veg, unfortunately...

Everyone loved the other phenos - I kept the pine all to myself!

Broad Mites change the DNA structure of the Plant.... it is 100000000000000% from BM's

There is a way to put a serious reversal effect on Dudding...took me 3 years to find out...so much money down the toilet.. Just think Botanical Oils and Complex Molecules

I tried to look this up and only found a study where BMs affect
on the Cucumber plant was studied.

They did say this:
a Northern blot analysis revealed the induction of genes related to the jasmonic acid (JA)/ethylene and salicylic acid (SA) pathways, such as lipoxygenase (LOX) and β -1,3 glucanase (BGL2), and an induction of oxidative stress-responsive transcripts, such as peroxidase (PRX).

I had to look up what the induction of genes means, but it looks
like the effect turns genes on, but does not alter the genetic material.

Interesting. Is there a link?

Thanks!

JD

P.S. I took down some DNA Sour Kosher:

Here's another Norcal transplant grown down here at the beach...and a fine cut indeed...Casey Dog.

I just love it when girls put out so much they can barely hold themselves up! This girl gave me just over a zip and it reeks like chemdog. The colas are large, not connected and not so dense, but I'm definitely running her again. I just love the smoke, and she doesn't fret about the little things.

1st run of Mindmeld from clone. 30 days in with about 33 to go. I'll try to post a full plant pic sometime in the next week to show her growth and structure because this pic doesn't do the size justice. Most vigorous purple I've grown in recent memory.

so those adub x dt7 etc. were finally big enough to top.

so i did.

don't forget to check the preflowers with a loupe. #11 is a definite tranny in there with the dt7 reverses. thought it was a boy til i remembered that can't happen. looks like a natural male from subrob's gdp skunk though. i couldn't be happier about it either.

Chem D x California Purple Haze at 57 days. Pics don't even come close to doing her justice (honest truth). Hopefully I'll be able to get a better one when I pull her from the corner she's currently in.
