Well! After great anticipation, I finally got a nice sample of smoke from the Neon pheno.

I was quite hesitant to pre-judge the bud based on it's rare colors.
I surely hoped for good quality all the way through her grow though.

Here's some pics followed by a smoke report.








All based on a 10 scale.

Scent -- 8
Lightly sweet, peppery aroma with a hint of grape.

Flavor -- 8
Nicely sweet with mild berry, still keeping a taste of black pepper.

Yield -- 8
Plant was at 3' 4" Tall at finish and weighed in at 7.25 ozs dry and ready.

Bag appeal -- 10
The most interesting example of cannabis genetics with un-comparable colorations.

Stone -- 9
The stone is as strong as her mother (Purps #1)
A bit slow to hit your head, but when it does, the high escalates to a most pleasurable happy high.

I was pleasantly surprised with the overall outcome.
I found a rare keeper in the Neon Pheno.
I will make a point of breeding her into some of my other keepers in the future.

The purple is definitely a keeper for sure. Those are all good scores.

I have absolutely no regret or guilty feelings about changing my way to the barebulb vertical growing.

I only utilized maybe 50% of my 10x10x8 room using 1600w and have yielded 8.5 zips of big dense buds, with over 4 zips of solid rock hard popcorn (picture with them compared to orange lighter) but not really any you want in a bag. Also a note, I have already covered my original expenses (lights, ducting, fans, soil, etc)!!

My plants were no taller than 5' from the floor, including the 7 gallon pots. And only grew 6.

One of my plants that I didn't transplant, only yielded less than an ounce. Can't believe how rapid a plant will grow after a healthy transplant. I need to find a better feeding schedule, as I believe I under feed plants sometimes.. but I just don't like to burn too much and leave harsh tastes.

But this isn't counting the huge sative I have in the room inside the 20 gallon pot, she is about a week out from chop. I see her get at least 6 zips, considering it's about 4 1/2 wide and one of the top buds are almost touching my 8' ceiling.

Mylar is THE SHIT. I could have fit another 6 in that room, and grown them 2x taller...that's what the next round is for going in soon (ravnus, goblin queen, and nocturnal.) they are still in small vegging stage.

I'll get a journal up on here soon, just wanted to showcase my buds in some newly bought mason jars

No edit capabilities here. But that second picture is my trim/hash pile!! Lol. I'm not sure of the method to attain my hash yet, but that is what it's for

Things will get better with every grow.
Bigger pots (15 gal?) will double your yields.
More=more=more.

It took me a while to get up and running because every time I tried to register, this site kept flaggin me as a spammer...even from different addresses. Of all places to finally get in, I was able to do it from my phone at McDonalds yesterday

Lots going on in here as I suspected there would be! I gotta get caught up but I will just say that neon phenol is truly some of the absolute finest porn I have seen from any grower! Excellent job SG!

Well all I have right now is my noc mom and a few clones that I took off her that are chilling in solo cups. My tangerine dream hybrid is finally ready to chop (day 63 today!). She's gonna get the chop either Friday or Saturday and then noc clones going in!
